Hello, I’ve never traveled internationally post smart phone world but I have Verizon and I added the month international plan so I can use my phone over in Australia.

I got the instructions back and it seems that I just need to turn roaming on and that’s it? I don’t need to activate a different eSIM or anything? Does anyone have experience with this on Verizon? It seems too easy and I’m worried I’ve missed something somewhere.

You don’t need a different sim unless you’re trying to get a local Australian number. The sim that you have now will work fine.

Yes as long as you have a travel plan set up there is nothing else you need to do other than make sure data roaming is turned on in your settings. Your phone will do the rest automatically once it connects with the local towers in Australia!

Thank you! I thought it might work that way, but then second guessed myself because it seemed too easy/convenient. Glad that is the case though.

Have a good remainder of your week!

Yup it’s that easy. Check on the roaming prices though as depending on how long you’re staying it might be cheaper to get a temporary prepaid Australian number.

Otherwise yeah just turn on roaming and you’re golden.

I already paid for a coverage plan that lasts a month. It’s a capped high speed data amount and unlimited texts, over 200 minutes of talk time, so I should be plenty covered over there.
