He’s also often quoted for saying, as his excuse for blocking Obama’s SCOTUS nomination, he would oppose a SCOTUS nomination in an election year even if it were a republican. He then approved Trump’s SCOTUS nomination in an election year.
His extra excuse there was also hilariously shit : people were so mean to Kavanaugh, accusing him of sexual assualt that the FBI did not investigate, that his previous promise was now invalid because of the lack of decorum.
