Valorant, been playing with friends and prepping for the premier games this week. It’s the gaming equivalent of a softball or bowling league, fun to practice leading up to a game, with a season that ends in a playoff. Been a lot of fun strategizing, even though we’re not high level
This is incredibly cynical and untrue. There are plenty of ways to make friends around hobbies, but you do have to work at it, like most meaningful things. It also takes time. The internet can be isolating, but it also can bring people together via meetups and other avenues.
Axiomatic is pretty good. Irreducible is another. However, I would argue there are no undescribable words. If that were true, no one could learn certain words in other languages

That has been the reasoning from Reddit. I believe it’s one of those business conveniences where yes, he’s not wrong, and gives them an excuse to kill something they think is extracting revenue from them (3rd party apps). Convenient excuse, but no one believes it.
It won’t. Most people are not lemmy users, not aware of the issues, they just consume content. Others will take up the reigns and the place will be noticably worse for those of us who care about community. Those who care about consuming content will not.
