I have no idea. That’s a pertinent question that needs an answer.

Agreed in principal. And individuals are not synonymous with their governments. Yet this also seems like a workaround to avoid the issue.
A fair point.
In TOS, at least, the Federation used credits and traders seemed to do quite well. In TNG and later, we see them barter for nearly everything.
WRT Quark in particular, I don’t remember him selling anything that wasn’t replicated. My head canon was always that Starfleet took care of the tab for those personnel who didn’t want to dabble in money as a hobby.
It runs quite nicely on my Pi 3 with Apache and no Docker. I only use cloud storage, but the rest seems to work fine if needed. Maybe switching to a supported configuration would help?
Apple, in particular, seems a favorite target of NSO. And Apple seems intent on winning their game of whack-a-mole. I would expect them to patch as far back as justifiable and feasible.
A joke that only a linguist could love. :D
Valid points. I was thinking of using a second drive. That way you’d still have this one to troubleshoot and learn from.
True. Sadly, many don’t get that time after they’ve done hours of homework and mandatory extracurriculars every day and twice on Saturday.
Edit: typo
They did for a while in the 70s and 80s. They were usually disguised as football team gear or running tops, but guys had half-shirts for several years.
Unfortunately, the 90s and 00s were relatively more conservative, and they disappeared. Maybe it’s time to bring them back.
Could it be a failing/failed drive? Maybe try making a new bootable flash drive and see what happens.
That’s really good to know. Thanks!
I’ve participated in their SETI and cancer research projects in the past. It’s a good cause, and I don’t mind making a donation.
I did think the BOINC project was shut down, though. Good to know it’s still going.
Thanks, I didn’t know what that tool is called. I don’t find it very useful.
Thanks, I didn’t know what it’s called. I agree that the block editor is unusable. Honestly, it reminds me of GeoCities. I wouldn’t consider it progress.
Gutenberg?
Maybe we barely noticed because of Safari’s small market share. Although I must admit that it’s bigger than I expected.
The thing is, this doesn’t even sound safer. It just sounds like a power grab and protectionism.
Oh wait. “Safer” for Google’s ad business. Now I get it.
A lot of us have separate accounts for different uses. Mastodon is a microblogging platform where one follows users and hashtags. Lemmy is an aggregator and discussion platform where one subscribes to communities (and possibly follows users).
As I understand it, to see posts across services, you just look up and follow accounts and communities using their <@subject@instance.tld> identity. Someone who’s more familiar with the process can probably give a better explanation or point you towards a tutorial.
Let’s not conflate anti-Israeli-government with antisemitism. That’s a tired old tactic that’s run its course.
