As someone currently watching Mister Roger’s Neighborhood with my 2yo and having just completed TNG and started DS9 with my 9yo, this is fantastic.

Pretty sure it’s an old businessman thing. “Go for (my name)!” in a cock-sure tone is pretty much how I would expect any old business hot-shot asshole to answer the phone.
Don’t know about ‘battle royal’, but are you talking about Battlebit?

Or in the battle royale genre, there’s TAB:

It’s a great game, but it’s also “baby’s first Zelda” in terms of game mechanics. It’s the first Zelda game my kid managed to play through on their own, and then when I had them try out LoZ, AoL, LttP, etc. they couldn’t believe that you couldn’t just bump into enemies without getting hurt by raising your shield.
It’s far easier than even the Gameboy original, because back in the original you only had two buttons to assign items/equipment to, including the sword and shield, and the run boots weren’t an inherent ability but rather were just another item to assign to one of your two buttons.
In the remake you can simultaneously use your sword, shield, jump feather, run boots, and I believe one more item to boot. It makes it literal child’s play compared to other Zelda games.
That said… I wish they would remake more of them like that, because it is a great looking and fun to play game.
If by “well maintained grass” you’re talking about a flat, maintained sports field or something of the sort, likely yes. If you mean grass that’s been cut but the ground is otherwise natural with bumps and holes, then you’ll probably have problems.
It does depend on the chair, but most are not built for off-roading. Also will depend on if you’re the pusher or if you’re talking about propelling yourself (as the wheelchair occupant).
But also know that understanding isn’t always going to bring resolution. Sometimes all you come to understand is that the people who raised you are, in actuality, thoroughly racist.
I wish I could find it easier to simply ignore my aging parents’ political views like I do with most acquaintances in the deep red state I live in, but I can’t.
The people who raised me to be kind and emphasize with others now base their worldview in fear and hatred. As far as I’m concerned my parents died sometime around 2016 (or perhaps before then), and there are some kind of racist pod people in their place.
Bullshit that only true bullshitters can spew.
When it comes to Samsung, look at their “Pro” TVs, which are intended for businesses to use for digital signage. I’ve never had to deal with any of the very few smart features it has popping up or annoying me in any way.
I’m no expert on picture quality but it looks damned good to me, and it’s supposedly built to run 24/7 and not burn out since as said it’s intended for digital signage.

This isn’t being kept 100% up to date it seems. Photos 247 A & B are actor Jay Johnston who was arrested, but the pictures haven’t been updated with the ARRESTED tag at the bottom.
No. Yes.
Find the non-twatty people in your life and ride out the rest of it.
I didn’t quite realize that, figured that when you were viewing another instances’ content it was loading from that instance. I guess that means that Lemmy content across all instances has loads of redundant copies.
Maybe I’m misinterpreting what you’re saying, but lemmy.one has basically no content on it other than the 8 communities that @jonah has created or allowed there. The whole point of that server is to allow people to simply login and then participate in other instances from there.
That is all to say, lemmy.one would be one of the “smaller” instances from a standpoint of content to be indexed by Google.
Correct. Ultimately it’s up to each person how much they want to extend themselves into the Fediverse. You really can’t follow everything everywhere all the time, so you need to pick what you want your feed to consist of.
I’ve subscribed to any redundant tech / IT security related communities no matter how many of them there are, because I always want to stay current on any news that could impact the network environment I manage.
On the other hand, I like seeing some memes, but memes@lemmy.ml will absolutely flood your front page if you subscribe to it, so I stick to a few smaller meme subs like starwarsmemes@lemmy.world, risa@startrek.website, and lotrmemes@midwest.social.
Everyone’s going to say No, and “just subscribe to the most active one”, but if you’re a ‘Fediverse completionist’ and want to ensure that there’s not a single thing you miss anywhere at any time, then the answer is Yes.
Just buy Rtic, same quality and their stuff costs half as much as Yeti.
Yep. It’s because assholes who cry about “free speech” tend to not understand this - https://xkcd.com/1357
In St. Louis (e- and many other places apparently, didn’t know they were a larger chain) if you want Detroit style pizza, Jet’s is the place.
Honestly while I still love the originals, the Pixel Remasters are the only way to go these days. They’re just great. Faithful to the originals with enough polish and QoL updates to make them enjoyable.
I’d recommend to play FF2 next. It introduces character development! :)
FF3 is… okay. It introduces the character class system, which you’ll see again in FF5, which is also okay.
FF4 and FF6 are the definitive pre-3d era Final Fantasy games, and should be on your must-play list.
