They really are amazing. Glad to have you with us 😊
I really like it here
They really are amazing. Glad to have you with us 😊
Saw you recently created an account here. You truly are everywhere lol
Oh definitely, I find them very enjoyable to read. Took a short break after the first book, starting A Clash of Kings tomorrow. Thanks for the encouragement!
I’ve seen only NOT_RICHARD@lemmy.today post them. A two day account as well
Seems like the guy has dug up his USA bad folder
Go to your profile settings trough the site. There you’ll see a section for importing/exporting your subscriptions, just click on it and it should download a json file.
Same. It’s amazing how much time I have when the algorithm isn’t shoving me endless content, trying to keep me engaged.
Well, there’s nothing wrong with having hope lol.
But as someone who just started reading the books, it’s a bit frustrating starting something I may not be able to ever finish.
There’s !asoiaf@lemmy.world but it’s somewhat inactive
The art style is really cute, looks great for a first project!
What’s the game you’re working on?
The API changes didn’t really have an effect on me since I had always used the official Reddit app, and only switched to Apollo a week before the blackout. The reason I left is because Reddit’s response was really out of touch and insulting to its users. After coming to the fediverse I realised just how horrible Reddit has become and I don’t plan on going back.
I’m pretty attached to my username, sometimes people call me by it and I even have some nicknames originating from it. I use it in only four places, but I definitely feel it has become my default username as of recently.
I joined kbin on 10 June. I thought it was stupid to have a two-day protest and I figured I’d need something to replace reddit. Then I moved to lemmy on 23 June because it supported apps, after that on 4 July I moved to my current instance because .ml was having problems and that’s where I am now
In Bulgaria we have the very creative insult „You’re as sharp as an edge on a round table”, which I find pretty amusing
Definitely agree, some people are just not worth even engaging with.
I think radical and hateful people should be called out but just insulting each other is going to radicalise them even further. The best way is to have a civil discussion and see the other’s pov, and when they can’t do anything but be an asshole, just ignore them.
I definitely agree. I pointed out that asklemmy@lemmy.world is becoming more and more like AskReddit and I got downvoted and got these sarcastic and obnoxious responses that are typical for reddit
And harassing the mods for closing the subreddit without bothering to learn why it’s even closed. I don’t understand why people think that these unpaid volunteers owe them something.
I haven’t gone fishing in a long time but from my experience it’s really peaceful. As another commenter said, kind of like meditation. Also, catching the fish feels really rewarding.
Most people just love the thrill and some crank it to 11. Once we went fishing with my grandfather and his friends, in a regular small boat. With us was a guy they had met there last year, who had bought a pretty expensive boat just for fishing, not to talk about all the other equipment he had.
It’s a passion for a lot of people.
