It’s confusing, the gameplay looks smooth enough, little inconstant but not unplayable. The cut scenes look like they’re 7 frames a second.

This is why they rarely pull your whole library, it’s too noticeable and all these services have is public faith they’re going to still be there. More often the case you’ll just lose access to a purchase here and there and usually goes undetected especially if you have a large collection.
Yea Audible too. I can’t remember the name of the tool but you can connect to your account and it pulls all your purchases locally DRM free. It was handy for setting up Audiobookshelf
The Leftovers. If I were to ever put together a top 10 list of personal favorites, this would be at the top then in a distant second I could start ranking the rest. I love how fully realized its concepts were. I love how it stuck true to its convictions right up to the end. I love the mashup of science fiction and fantasy and grief and contemporary life. I love the beautiful Max Richter score. For a show that starts pretty bleak in the first few episodes you really feel the love and warmth by the end of the series and the discovery of inner piece.
I always like to add this caveat to anyone jumping in, the first half of season one can be tough. Episode 3 is a good taste of what the show is at its best and episode 6 is one of the best in the series and the point where most people are fully hooked.
Biggest thing I miss about the old Pixels was this because you could swipe it to pull the notifications bar down. It worked system wide so you could during a game or video just pop it down to check time or settings and just flick it away without moving your hand to the top of the phone.
Girl Talk in 09 in Vancouver. We were early at the venue and they were selecting a few people to be up on stage for the whole show. Never sweat so hard in my life.
Same. I’m still primarily a Plex user for the player (it’s just easier for sharing libraries with everyone) but I love the arr stuff. Just got readarr setup for audio books and audiobookshelf for the player which is really nice.
Probably my favorite feature of the arr suite is in Radarr and list subscribing. I’ve got mine connected to some good letterboxd lists along with things like tmdb popular to keep my library up to date with recent stuff. Also there’s some podcasts I listen to like The Rewatchables. I just subscribe to the lists of movies on letterboxd and I can easily keep up with the podcast.
I can’t find OP in that thread. Is this just conspiracy speculation?
Phone wouldn’t work for me, I’ve got a strict no phone around the TV rule for myself because I’m way too tempted to just use it instead of enjoying the thing I’m watching. Also wouldn’t really want to put an Xbox controller onto my wife or step mother.
I wish there was some kind of application you could run that would abstract all the mouse and keyboard interactions into a remote control friendly interface.
Anyway to do this without a keyboard. I used to have a PC connected to my TV for this but eventually just bought an apple tv for simplicity.
Basically you have to bond over a game, be it physical, like sports or board like regular board games or as many people mentioned here D&D. For sports, regardless of your skill level, there’s a group. Beer leagues and such. Solo sports like mountain biking can work too but you have to be super consistent and really get into the sport where you have common ground.
If physical stuff is out of the question, then you have your board games. Even small towns have meetups.
The important thing is actually doing these. Friends don’t just come to you and you have to be consistent. Most people don’t just become friends in one or two sessions, it takes time and rapport building. And you can’t always wait for others to initiate the friends part. You might have to be the one that goes “hey wanna grab some wings after this.”
I’ve literally gotten spam emails that include a real password I’ve used in the past in the subject with some vaguely threatening message. Thanks to all these leaks, spammers are getting more targeted. Luckily I’ve been generating all my passwords for the last few years so I don’t have to worry about specific passwords getting out as much anymore.
There’s a link in their Read Me on GitHub under the title about launching with Docker. Are you familiar with Docker?
Can we please avoid all the editorializing in AskLemmy. I came to the comments to see an answer to this question and it’s all comments about what people think about him instead of actually answering the question.
That’s fair. Lost had trouble because they were building the track as they went. I still loved the ride though. For me, I don’t think every question needs an answer as long as what it creates feeds into the themes of the show. Like on Lost, I wish they never explained the Smoke Monster, it just wasn’t necessary.
With Leftovers, I’d say it’s ending is the perfect summation of the show and anything else would betray what it was going for.
It’s a show about logic vs belief and that’s where it leaves us, do you believe Nora? What happened to the 2% ultimately doesn’t matter because the show is about how people deal with the unexplainable. There’s no satisfying answer to that mystery.
You’re not alone in not liking the ending though. I’ve had this conversation before and it’s totally ok not to.
Just a warning, the third episode is notoriously bad and not indicative of the quality of the rest of the show. It’s totally skippable.
I’m a huge fan of anything Damon Lindelof has been a head writer on
Lost
Watchmen
And my personal all time favorite show:
The Leftovers
He’s latest show Mrs. Davis is ok too but not quite as good as his previous stuff.
Another show recommendation that I love to give because no one watched it is The English. It’s a crazy stylish western, reminds me of Coen Brothers.
I second this. The loot system is really good in this season.
Added to the watchlist!
I know this is fuck cars but this looks cool as hell. Gives me Jet Set Radio vibes
