Found the Eurosnob.
Found the Eurosnob.
I wouldnt call that nature but its a hell of a lot better than pavement hell.
I wasnt young when it came out. Joke’s on you.
My first car was an early 90s Ranger. These were the days when you could actually buy a small pickup, not whatever the hell the Ranger is now.
Now, look, it was still horrible for the enviroment like all cars. It wasnt great on gas, but compared to larger trucks in that era, it sipped fuel by comparison. But friends asked why I didnt just go for a ‘real truck’.
Simple. It was big enough for anything I needed to haul. I didnt need a huge truck. It was easy to drive and I could park it anywhere, even in the city when I visited.
Now they dont even make small trucks anymore, at least not in North America. Everything is huge even though only, like, 1% of truck owners actually need something that big. And they keep getting bigger year by year. Its insane.
Canning is worth it IF you like canned goods. I only do hot water bath canning because of my kitchen setup, but you can do pressure canning.
I live in an area with cheap local produce so I do a lot of pickling and jams.
A great food preservation option, however, is a dehydrator. I use that way more than canning. There is a lot you can dehydrate and if any of my produce is starting to go, I dehydrate it. It is very easy to use and takes minimal prep time. You can also get them cheap and are often easy to find second hand because many people buy them and realize they wont use them.
New England has a decently strong Acadian presence. But Acadians dont typically think of themselves as French, per se. They think of themselves as Acadian. The French influence is recognized of course, but its a different way of looking at ancestry.
Adding more bike lanes, implementing more bus lanes, and starting to electrify the fleet.
Definitetly a good one for people in urban centres. Flashfood partners with grocery stores even in rural areas.
Yeah Im that guy who routinely calls the cops in my town when cars are parked on the sidewalk. Ive called so many times I rarely see it in my neighborhood anymore.
