I too can vouch for one of these. Great for removing a lot of fur. Anything left over I have to use a lint roller.

My employer has already been putting measures in place to what seems to be potential loopholes. Hybrid working was bundled as part of “flexible working”, they have separated it out into a different terminology. The term Flexible Working is now purely for those who want to change their hours like removing a day once a week and getting paid less, or moving hours from one day into the other 4.

A large number of companies are pushing to get people to RTO and I get the feeling these workers rights won’t counteract that.

I’ve no doubt a previous employer of mine would get us to sign a bit of paper saying we’re happy to be contacted outside of our working hours, and being told it’s mandatory to sign it.

With it moving away from privatisation I’d have thought it would no longer be a for-profit, so fares would go towards running the service and improvements?

I agree it can depend on the journey. Convenience can be different things to different people, if two people are travelling from London to Edinburgh by train that could cost around £240 one way, as opposed to driving which could cost around £80 one way. I’d say the cost savings there are convenient for the two people and depending on their budget could outweigh the convenience of one of them being able to sleep on the journey.

Commuting is another matter, if cost of commuting by public transport was cheaper, reliable, personable and generally a more pleasant experience then more people would do it. Once again it also depends on the journey!

Cars really are more convenient on an individual basis. It’s not ideal for the environment and getting stuck in traffic is a pain in the arse when it happens, but for the individual it provides greater benefits than public transport.

In the UK it’s cheaper than public transport, it’s much more reliable, it’s healthier (not being in close proximity to those who may be harbouring a flu), and it affords people the freedom to travel somewhere that public transport can’t get you sufficiently close to.

Personally I feel that the best step is to reduce the need for people to travel. If people don’t need to be in offices then don’t enforce policies to get them back in. That’ll reduce car usage as well as public transport.

If anyone genuinely feels this way and wants to get started in coding, I highly recommend doing one of the mooc.fi courses. Codecademy is fine as a taster/refresh but don’t waste money on the premium when something like mooc is available for free.

I’m hoping something occurs to retcon the Discovery future, because it’s not a future of trek that I’m excited to see more of.

I have to disagree with the Windows key being useless. Win+Shift+S for selective screen grab to clipboard. Win+E to open a new Explorer window. Win+D to show the desktop. They were my go-tos. Now I’m forced to use Mac I use the Win key all the time too, Win+C, Win+V…

I think what justifies it is the second case that they encounter. The other guy provides them with scientific evidence that Uhura was experiencing something that wasn’t unique to just her.

It was definitely a leap of faith for Pike, but his decision was bolstered by someone (Kirk) that he knows can make the right decisions too.

Unfortunately as it stands in some places the infrastructure is awful. Take England for example; catching a train to London takes about 20 minutes for me, however there are often 10-15 minute delays that you now have to start accounting for, you also have to sit in a cabin with someone blaring their music that isn’t to your taste. Hopefully you’re not in a cabin with a toilet, because it’s going to stink of shit.

Now the return journey, fingers crossed it’s not cancelled otherwise you have another 40 minute wait for the next train! Last train home is a real anxiety inducing experience, will you be getting that train home or has it been cancelled? This is unfortunately all too common here. Sadly because public transport is for profit rather than a necessary service we have someone trying to do the bare minimum to make that money, and then pay the bare minimum to their staff who don’t give a shit. It all begins to unravel and people just have a better experience sat in that morning traffic which is a more consistent and pleasant experience to the public transport.

Without a doubt, I’m so disappointed with Inkbound following their Early Access, battle pass and trying to shill cosmetics. I was initially excited for it following Monster Train. As it stands I can’t recommend Inkbound and I’ve not got high hopes for its future.
