Absolutely. It can be a huge inspiration to an audience.
Imagination is a strong driving force for society.
A man can become incel for a variety of reasons. Experiences with peers, parents divorcing, and so on.
At one point I think I could’ve ended up an incel but strangely enough being a lone wolf and having the Internet to access stopped me whereas for others they continued down that path.
From being a lone wolf type I never really dip too much into other people’s crap. And having a resource like the web allowed me to learn multiple perspectives.
If incel and simp were on a continuum, I’d prefer to be somewhere in the middle. Don’t want to sit rage and whine about what’s unfair in regards to romance, etc and go off the deep end but I certainly don’t want to be a doormat either. Life keeps teaching me that moderation is key, time and time again.
As I’ve gotten older, I realized my true issue is with narcissists and narcissism. And that’s something that knows no gender, nationality, etc.
Great topic, thank you.
hard to pick just one.
emacs/orgmode, audacious media player, buku bookmark manager, xed text editor, i3wm.
i watched a friend play alttp at his house but i forgot the name of it afterwards.
some time later my parents took me to best buy and got me the same game.
i recognized it once i got near the water temple in the light world. sounds dumb but that made really happy.
one of my favorite games.
oot was pretty cool too. i beat that and spent so much time just screwing around with a gameshark.
eraserhead
it’s a 3 way tie between link’s awakening [original], a link to the past, and ocarina of time for me. loved the mechanics, music, and just exploring.
deleted. double post.
ok apparently not double post.
i had gta3 up to san andreas on ps2 and pc. played a multiplayer mod for san an, glitchy but fun.
elder scrolls is fun. need to get back to daggerfall unity and finish it.
you dont have to feel left out. grab something like retroarch and dive in.
our computer lab at school was half ibm pcs and the rest were apples. i dont remember which apple but i think probably the same as you played.
played a lot of isle of dr quandry, word muncher, treasure math storm, gizmos and gadgets. i think oregon trail too, but the dos/windows one.
when it would rain during recess the teachers would let us play otherwise we only went to the lab one day a week.
there was animation/art program all of us used to mess around with. cant remember what it was called.
i was put off by it myself because of the graphic style. i beat it but liked mario land 2, and wario land more.
i was mainly into nintendo growing up, except for ps2. dark cloud was awesome. music was catchy but i loved how the weapon system worked.
my favorite memory was getting n64 for christmas. stayed up all night playing san fran cisco rush with my brother.
i played ghostbusters on c64, had a lot fun playing it.
mega man 2 was one of my favorite games on nes. first mega man before i got mmx on snes. never had tetris for nes, but we had some game called klax.
i think i played superman for the 2600. i remember just flying around each screen trying to figure out what to do.
we had a c64 in my family at one point too. ghetto blaster/street beat, pipeland, dart tower, street surfer, bc quest for tires [you play as a caveman riding around standing on a wheel], one man and his droid. i played those.
remember sears arcade systems? i think that was their knock off of intellivision. white/cream color, and i think its controllers could actually be unplugged.
handheld right? never played one but a friend had an atari jaguar.
we played some independence day game for it. i remember being put off by the controller. i was more of a fan of the n64 one.
i certainly am. i used to be a long time lurker on reddit, but i dislike the gui for the official app. and its a shame what they did to 3rd party.
sync was my go to program because it let you favorite/bookmark subreddits without an account. that and it gui was designed well, or well enough for me anyway.
Trash my win install. I dual boot with Linux already but I never really use windows. I keep it in case I need for a game…which honestly hasn’t happened yet.
