There are new reports that they were shooting at a civilian aircraft flying in a restricted airspace.
In Salavat (Bashkiria), the AN-2 Kukuruznik flew into a restricted area and was mistaken for a Ukrainian drone. The city’s air raid siren was turned on, and Gazprom oil refinery security opened fire on the plane.
Read the headline again. It says the Russians did the shooting.
That said, any idiot dumb enough to fly around an oil refinery in Russia at night in a civilian aircraft at this moment has got to be suicidal.
