Sapiens has its criticisms but was overall quite good

It was such an easy enjoyable read. I’m glad I had the opportunity to breeze through it without seeing the red flags and before hearing about its criticisms.

It’s pop-history. An easy read non-fiction but obviously it’s going to gloss over some parts and embellish others.

My life has a ‘before I read Berserk’ period and an ‘after I read Berserk’ period.

RIP Miura-san, thanks for the memories.

After I read Berserk, nothing else came close. It just gave me everything I ever looked for in a story, but you have to let it get there. Keep reading past vol. 1 and you’re golden!

I take it that “a conclusion” is not something you look for in a story.

Already read through volume 1, about to start volume 2. It’s pretty interesting so far but some pages are hard to understand because of the art style

The art style get increasingly better as the story unfolds. Unfortunately when he was his best, miura died

    TKAMB is a must read.

Personally, I couldn’t get through Sapiens. Ikigai was great though, and it is pretty short.

Haha honestly I had heard that it’s a good book but one of the reasons for getting is it being Superman’s favourite book

I think it’s hard to go wrong with Murakami. I don’t remember much TEV specifically, but I remember enjoying it.

Sapiens is basically a simplification of a great book: The Outline of History, written by Herbert George Wells. So I highly recommend to read this as well, or if you havent read Sapiens yet, rather read The Outline of History. https://www.gutenberg.org/files/45368/45368-h/45368-h.htm
