Says it isn’t found?
Says it isn’t found?
It’d be a shame if something happened at Elon’s next Lie Fest Conference
I’m guessing it is meant to say “single” but I’m honestly not sure.
I actually tried to do this with a bar I owned back in the day. It was exciting / hopeful.
It went into effect January 1st, 2020. January for bars is rough because people do “dry January” so we hoped February and March would be good.
We all know what happened. It didn’t survive. Spent a good year or so continuing to pay wages and healthcare out of my own pocket, but I hit a point where I had to call it (mostly because I ran out of money and couldn’t get any more loans).
I plan to try again in the future, once I have the loans paid off and some padding saved again.
I also dream of a day where somewhat self-sustaining communes become more prevalent. Everyone living together on a shared plot and exchanging goods & services instead of money. Maybe it’s a pipe dream? I don’t know. I feel like it’ll become necessary over the next 4 years though.
I’d say over half. I and many others in my circle are already executing on our escape. If we even can…
America is done.
For those that can’t leave, find a community, build a commune, and support each other. Strength in numbers.
I have totally seen job postings at places I work and asked HR or management if I can refer someone I know…and they tell me they aren’t actually hiring for it.
Kinda fucked up.
I know you’re joking, but semi-related, I highly recommend the Kuhn Rikon peelers.
I sense ADHD (source: am ADHD)
Absolutely not. I’d be surprised if anybody actually cares.
I used to get job offers almost monthly, I haven’t had one in about six months. But I think it’s more due to the current economy and it being an election year than it drying up. I anticipate a bounce back Q1 or Q2 of next year.
The few cyber security people I’ve known…to work a good enough job that doesn’t pay shit, also means that due to the nature of their job they end up with clients that require drug testing or working at jobs that require it. Not an every case, but just something to be aware of.
My friend’s job has hybrid RTO and it basically means half the team is still out when you’re in the office so they still meet on Zoom/Teams, haha…what a waste
When I used to work in office:
Now that I work from home:
Is this how you live your life? Going around telling people how to live theirs?
Jesus christ dude. I said I’m aware.
I have specific use cases that Kagi, and nothing else that I’ve found but feel free to try me, satisfies to a T with speed and value.
Unlike you, I’m aware enough to realize I’m not the average consumer and that not everyone might fall into my bucket, so it was merely a suggestion ALONG WITH ANOTHER SUGGESTION (SearXNG). I’ll leave it up to the reader to do their own tests and see if it suits their needs.
I guarantee something you eat came from Nestle somehow and that something you own or wear was made on the backs of a sweatshop of some sort. Quit with your holier-than-thou bullshit.
I’ve been using Kagi since ~February and it’s changed my views on Search. Beforehand, if use a combination of Google, Bing, DDG, and Brave and rarely find what I needed in satisfactory time. Now I’m typically finding it in the top 5 without all the cruft + have access to a handful of LLM assistants to choose from for other tasks (when needed).
I’ve also heard good things about SearXNG.
I’ve lived in 3 and had the luxury of them being fantastic and doing more than I expected, above and beyond and never being more than like…$50/mo. Included gym and pool access and stuff.
BUT, I have a family member who lives in one where basically everybody got hit with a roof repair bill of $30k partly due to previous management embezzlement, and it ended up being taken to the courts and crap and eventually got reduced but not eliminated. I think like half the residents sold and left in the year following.
So…it can be a crapshoot but I hear more stories that are bad than good.
I straight up ask any job I apply and interview with why they didn’t proceed. One time they were actually taken back and ended up hiring me (after some convo).
If a company cannot communicate to you why you didn’t make the cut, they’re a shitty company and not worth working for. I realize that’s easier said than done to swallow, but it’s true.
That link worked, maybe my phone just sucks.
