  • Depends on what you’re looking for. On Steam you get stuff like Steam Input, and ofc having it be tied into the Steam ecosystem, which depending on how you play pc can be a big deal or not so much. Plus if you plan on playing on Deck, it’s a bit easier if you own it on Steam.

With GoG it’ll be DRM free, which for many people is a massive deal. Basically once it’s downloaded it has zero ties to GoG, meaning it’s yours and yours alone, you can do whatever you want with it, back it up, turn off your internet and play it whenever you want. You can even download it from the website without having to install the GoG client.

Plus through GoG you can easily install the Fallout London mod, which may be a nice bonus depending on you.

Ultimately I’d say GoG unless you’re heavily invested into Steam and would make use of the integration with the ecosystem.

  • Basically just focus on staying present and not letting yourself get carried away by your internal monologue. It’s infinitely harder than it sounds. You can close your eyes, focus on a specific spot in a room, focus on your breathing, anything to keep yourself present and focused. Keep your mind empty as best you can.

The best advice I ever got was, when you have an intrusive thought during meditation, to acknowledge it, and let it fade away. Don’t focus on it or criticize yourself for it, as that will usually only make it harder to refocus yourself.

Meditation is super helpful for a lot of reasons, but for me personally it helped a lot with negative thinking and mental traps (like catastrophizing and stuff). It helps you to be more aware of when you’re getting carried away by thoughts, and how to push them aside and be present.

Look into mindfulness if you’re interested, it’s helped me a lot.

  • Just wanted to say that while I agree with the spirit of your comment, there are so many Nintendo first party titles that barely hit 30 fps, that a power bump would be nice.

I’m not expecting 4k 144 fps, but just hitting a consistent 30 (or call me crazy, 60) would make me very happy. Playing Xenoblade at sub 720p, or Tears of the Kingdom at less than 30, is just unacceptable imo.

I don’t even care about a Switch 2, just give me a Switch Pro or something, something that can play all the available games well.

  • Imo money can buy happiness to a point. Having financial security obviously affects your happiness, but anything further won’t necessarily guarantee more happiness.

So like, if I had less money I wouldn’t suddenly be sadder. But if I had so much less to the point where I couldn’t live securely, then yeah it’d affect my happiness.

So to answer your question, no, not inherently.
