This. That was my initial reaction before checking out the community. Your description is accurate, although I kinda wish they didn’t choose that community name. Lol.
Loving your username, btw, PugJesus.

This honestly makes a lot of sense. 🤔
Yup same. I was with Qobuz until it started having issues (kept buffering even if there’s no problem with my connection). Apple music is buggy on Win 10 and sounded worse than Qobuz so i skipped it. I’m now on Tidal (fuck MQA still) but still looking for goodbetter music streaming services. Netflix can rot.
I was kinda curious why Raddle wasn’t your first go-to. This explains it.
Man, Madison’s tweets took this to a whole new level. I haven’t watched the video yet so idk how bad it is considering the new info, but maybe they haven’t seen the tweets yet? Or another miscommunication happened (like it seemed to have happened many times in the past lol).

You know what? I never even thought about that. I agree 100%. That’s gonna be a tall order for companies, though. I mean, different people probably have different requirements to be comfortable.
Honestly, a much much higher salary. There are lots of things I’m going to have to deal with if I were to go back to the office; namely heavy traffic, transportation expenses, added stress, clothes (I mean, I’d have to use office-appropriate clothes whereas nowadays I have to be presentable only when I have meetings), food, waking up and preparing earlier than usual (sometimes up to 3 hours earlier!) and getting home late which gives me less free time, etc.
They’re going to have to offer a really lucrative salary for me to even consider returning to the office.
Make a guess. Lol.
You’re absolutely right, now that I think about it. My bad. But yeah, it makes more sense to upstream and make the features toggle-able.
Not all instance owners may want all those features implemented. Not the same but kind of like how Beehaw doesn’t allow downvotes while other lemmy instances do.
Dude was forced to buy Twitter because he couldn’t stop his big mouth. Seems he hasn’t learned. Lmao.
Ann Wilson (Heart) always makes me smile when I watch her live performances.
So we printed the entire Linux kernel source code including my driver in 5-pt font
Please tell me you used comic sans.
Dammit. Why do you have to make a lot of sense. 😂
Thank you for this. I was kind of on the fence because of its ties to google but this helps a ton.
In my instance, we use Arch.
Jk. We’re pretty chill although we’re too small to be anywhere popular. We like memes but not really overrun with it. The admin and the owner are nice and relaxed. Not much content since we’re just a small group, but some members are pretty active in their communities.
Finally someone who gets it. Imo, the comments asking those people to hand over bank details and similar stuff can harm the argument. I mean, if someone told me that, I’d just say I do that every time I go to the bank. Or my bank has those details and they’re made up of people like me. It won’t really convince me that privacy is important since most of them probably have never experienced getting their accounts hacked.
Which ones?
I’m in Asia. I can’t speak for everyone but the people I know distrust the CCP much more than the US government. Sure, the US is far from blameless, but at least over here the CCP has a much worse reputation. I guess that’s one factor.
Another is more than a few people seem to think Meta is strictly a private company while tiktok is somehow being used/controlled by the Chinese government.
