First of all, most people have no understanding or conceptual of even what the hell you’re talking about. Second of all, setting up, co-ops, etc., is extraordinarily difficult, as is becoming part of one. Most people believe it isn’t worth the effort, regardless of the reality of it.

The government makes the entire concept of a co-op, extremely difficult to exist, mostly because the government favors capitalism and punishes anything that runs against it. And, most notably, if there is anything the government can do to stop helping poor people and or minorities, that is always the first to target. Because people in control of our government are extra extraordinarily shitty.

Aside from what others have mentioned about the easy chemistry of it, decades of market research, have determined that people associate the lemony smell with “clean“, so it’s what they expect.

Before the rampant scenting of everything, most cleaning products just smell like ammonia or bleach or vinegar. So, when companies decided to cover that smell with something more pleasant, it also had to smell as astringent as other cleaning chemicals. That’s probably where the association comes from.

UI vs UX

In 28 years living in New York, the vast majority of my crossing the street is done between the blocks. Some of them are very long.

And New Yorkers cross the street like we own it because we know that anyone who hits us is gonna get their ass sued off and have to pay out ridiculous amounts of money.

This was the best thing about living in New York. No need for a car. No expenses paid in car payments, gas, or insurance. People claim that New York City is expensive, and rents are certainly higher than most places, but you end up saving so much money just on the cost of owning a car alone. Overall, the cost of living for me was much cheaper in New York City than it is now in Orlando.

I wish I had the resources to go back.

People carry around laptops in bags. People carry around their phones in their pockets. This is another reason why mobile chargers are often smaller. They need to be, because it’s more likely that you’ll be carrying a phone charger in your pocket than in a laptop bag.

Also, making a powerful adapter smaller costs more money. It’s a way to lower the overall price of a laptop.
