So far, it’s good. Art is cute, characters interesting and gameplay engaging. Its very similar to old Paper Mario games. I picked it up for sale $10 and it is exactly what I needed this time (simple game, on the more upbeat side).
Doom and gloom of the world has been getting to me lately so the escape was needed. No super serious games ATM
Just started Bug Fables!
Otherwise, more hours into Vampire Survivors
I picked up this and Slime Rancher so far!!
Agree with this. Stardew Valley and many games can be found on mobile and quite popular with the gaming community. I am not sure as a beginner player I would start off with Stardew Valley as there are a lot of mechanics? Would recommend more of the below as there are not as many things to figure out:
High recommendations for Vampire Survivors. There is a demo with that link as well as direct app access.
Additionally, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp for $20 come December is great intro. Super relaxing game.
100% recommend Slay the Spire as well.
For games without a mobile option, I feel like Portal 1 and Portal 2 are must plays for anyone. And are not too graphically intense for any computer. Its a puzzle game. You run and jump into portals to figure out the puzzles. I wish I could play them again for the first time. All the above are amazing games. Wishing you the best on your journey!
P.S. if you have a friend to game with, It Takes Two is a pleasant experience.
Love it though admittedly I haven’t utilize much of the color e-ink feature. Primarily book covers right now and highlights (btw, contrary to what someone already responded Kobo has yellow, blue, green and pink highlights). The book covers look great in color but not as sharp as black and white. I’m hoping to read the Sandman soon though and other graphic novels from my library is why I got it (and it was a free upgrade for me).
But I love both my Kobos and have no complaints. Theyre so customizable and easy to use.
Kobo Libra H20 owner here too then Kobo Colour!! Love both! My husband upgraded me for free because he worked with Kobo
Unless he is actively suicidal this is not the answer and can make things worse
Nurse manager. I browse when I wake and during dinner. Sometimes during work breaks. I don’t really post. Mostly comment. Doesn’t take long to comment
Do you play No Mans Sky alone or with friends? I picked it up for my deck but havent tried it out yet… Unfortunately one of the reasons why I have a deck is my PC can’t handle some games
I bought Vampire Survivors since it was slightly discounted and have only heard rave reviews about it… I sank 7 hours in my first day lol!!
Picked up all the DLCs too. Imo worth the money to support the developer
Mold because I’m American
I try to buy physical (especially if official nintendo game) but if its more indie I go with digital… There may not be a physical copy anyways
This. I now almost never buy beef jerky unless its SMC Jerky because I tried their beef jerky once 10 years ago at like a farmers market or something. I almost exclusively eat these and Ajays Montana Bananas. For SMC Jerky, Honey Glazed thin cuts are my fav and Ajay’s their teriyaki is the best.
This. At least there is an attempt and you’re not left wondering. Rejection also isnt a bad thing. Its honesty. Rather someone be honest with me then dwell on “could be” “maybes” and just false hope as someone down the thread mentioned.
Very different than a show and a TCG
Between the two, Flesh and Blood looks like long term would have more staying power. They are currently having international and local events. Looks very cool… And tempting haha. I love TCGs too but it is an investment and time consuming…
Unsure what “stable” means but if youre looking to work from home with a nursing degree: Insurances, utilization management/review, public health, call center (Kaiser call center RNs make BANK), etc. If you want more daily flexibility in your schedule I had some friends take a paycut to do home health or hospice. Theres so many routes… And of course different jobs outside of nursing.
I do not think I blame any services or sites for paywalls especially if its part of their financial model to continue operations and providing services.
There are many free services I have the privilege of being able to pay for to support: Proton, StoryGraph, Wikipedia. I used to donate to Pocket but no longer. I want these services to continue and am privileged enough to be able to donate
