The instance called lemmygrad promotes an ideology that’s considered extremist by many instance owners, so it has been defederated by many big instances. The other ones one the list that are defederated because of an unusual number of users to content ratio, leading many instance owners to suspect that they are bot accounts used for spam so any instance with these suspicions are also defederated, not because of ideology, buy simply because of the perceived spam threat. Now I don’t know how true is the bot threat, but that is what people have been saying is the reason for defederation.
You are not allowed to leave Lemmy once you join. You’re here for eternity.
No, this just sound like some lazy person’s weird vision of a future without paper because writing takes too much energy.
(The lazy person is me)
I wonder what would happen if redditors just start ignoring rules… 🤔
I don’t think its digital handwriting replacing paper handwriting, it will just be typing. Writing takes more energy and we humans are lazy. I’ll bet most kids in schools rather type their homework rather than write it. I know from experience.
Lol people still use SMS/iMessage? I mean aren’t people these days using discord for grouo chat?
If I’m a bot I have to tell you. It’s in the internet constitution.
Beep Boop, am totally not a bot. Nothing to see here, please carry on.
Lemmy isn’t blocked in Hong Kong? Oh I guess its much more difficult since they’ll have to block all lemmy instances.
Anyways, here in the United States of America, tap water is safe to drink, except in certain places like Flint, Michigan, but thats more of a lead pipe issue than a germ issue. I regularly drink water directly out of the tap, I don’t have any health issues that result from drinking water.

If you want to delete something on lemmy, make sure you edit the post/comment and replace it with something like “Deleted” then go to another instance to verify that the edit got sent to other instances. If you still see your old comment, then try editing it again later to a different text like “Deleted 2”. Only click the delete button after you’ve verified that your original text is no visible from other instances.
Now why do I say this? Because if you delete the comment without overwriting it, the deletion request might not get sent through the fediverse and now someone on another instance is still able to view your post. You can’t sent the deletion request twice, but you can edit a comment as much as you want, so if the federation is broken, you can always try to overwrite the comment again at a later time. Even then, there might still be a instance somewhere that didn’t receive your update/deletion request, so please make sure you don’t accidentally post your personal information.
I don’t recommend getting the cheapest. I had a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy A32 two years ago and the camera lens glass just start falling off. Its why I got the iPhone 11 in the first place, because of the perceived quality of Apple products. Now I realized its not an Apple vs Samsung thing, but more of a Low-end vs Flagship thing. The Galaxy A32 issue isnt just one standalone case of unluckily getting a defective device, I know several relatives using that phone (All are T-Mobile versions) that notices they camera lens glass is feeling loose. Lens falling off is somehow considered “physical damage” so Samsung warranty didn’t cover it. Many low-end phones are cheap because of lower quality. Paying more usually means higher quality.
Ahh cool, I’ve messed around with rooting, bootloaders, TWRP, and Lineage OS and all that stuff when I was younger, and I kept bricking my devices. I don’t do that anymore nowadays. Too much hassle.
Either defederation, or just Lemmy being Lemmy.
Beehaw, its your time to shine! Show 'em what you got inside your admin toolbox!

“Are you feeling depressed? Here are some extremist organizations we recommend you to join!”
Does it solve the issue of some information not being federated properly? Display name updates, profile description, edited posts/comments, and deletions are out of sync in many instances, resulting in wildly different versions throught the fediverse. These things trigger my OCD so much, I hope this updates fixes that.
Good luck moderating reddit all by yourself, Steve.
