I’ll never stop complaining that in the second movie Dooku tells Obi-Wan that the Separatists are the good guys and that there’s a sith influencing the Senate. Which would have been a cool reveal for the audience, that we’re rooting for the bad guys.

But then Dooku is also a sith anyway. What a wasted opportunity.

I’d say they’re my favorite as well! They’re definitely the ones I tend to go to first when I get the urge to re-read any of the Discworld books.

I’d like to recommend Old Man’s War, which is the first book in a sci-fi series. I read the first 3 books in the series basically back to back within 2 months and really enjoyed them. I’m in a similar spot as you and I’m getting back into reading after not reading much for the past few years and these got me back into the habit.

Not sci-fi, but anything in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett is also a good (and usually easy) read.

I’ve heard good things about Cozy Grove, though I haven’t played it yet. Seems like a good Steam Deck game

I hope you do play it someday! I think it’s definitely a game you have to be in the mood for, but when it clicks it’s an amazing experience. But I also think it’s really easy to bounce off of it too

I think this was most likely it. If the new actor sticks around then it’s possible he’ll be as well known as Martinet, but I’m sure Nintendo would prefer the voice be someone who’s more easily replaceable.

I think so, though there are some optional levels they may struggle with. If they play as Yoshi they won’t take any damage, which might help. Alternatively, someone more experienced could play as Yoshi and the kid could ride the Yoshi through some of the more challenging spots.

I’ve been playing some Mario Wonder too (both co-op and single player). I’m not the biggest 2D platformer fan, but I think it does a pretty good job. I’m surprised at how difficult some of the levels have gotten so far (4 and 5 star difficulty levels ain’t no joke). I’m not sure if I’ll finish it, but there’s fun to be had for sure.

I’m also closing in on finishing Chrono Trigger for the first time. I’m enjoying it, though I think the PS1 and PS2 era JRPGs are more up my alley. This game definitely oozes charm though, and I can see why many consider it a classic. After I beat it I’ll probably try Chrono Cross again, though last time I tried playing it the game froze twice early on just talking to people…

After you finish the witness, you should try The Looker. It’s a free parody of the witness that’s also pretty good as a puzzle game in its own right. Though, like the witness, I didn’t finish it either.

Just a heads up, I wouldn’t consider FF Origin a souls like. It’s more of just a typical action game (though a fun one)

You can say someone gave a poor performance in a specific instance without implying they’re overall a bad actor.

39.6% of players have beaten the final boss of Elden Ring. Considering how huge the game is, and how difficult it can be, I found that to be a surprisingly large number of people. I’m not sure how that compares to dark souls 3, but Dark Souls 2 has about 33% completion and dark souls 1 (prepare to die edition) has less than 25%

In response to cyber punk though, it’s entirely possible for gameplay to be bad enough that even a good story can’t save it. Personally, I had a problem getting invested in cyber punk’s story because I just was not enjoying the moment to moment gameplay. Each person has subjective opinions on where that line is, so I think it’s fair for someone to judge it even after just a few missions (though I agree, it might be they enjoyed it more if they gave it more time)

Ah, got ya. The only ones for the 3DS I can think of are fantasy life and Monster Hunter.

Oh, and I guess that Zelda game, Triforce heroes? Not sure if it had online co-op, but if it does it might be worth a try.

I’ve heard it’s full of hackers, but the original Splatoon had really interesting (good and bad) maps that are worth trying if you’ve only played the third

That being said, I agree with you. I’m not sure if there are any mods active here though, but I would suggest reporting those posts, as they don’t fit the magazine
