I was going mostly off how I’ve delt with addictive behavours in my life and how casualised therapists like Healthy Gamer explain how dopamine works.

It’s also worth noting that this user also posted about lacking motivation to even play video games at this point, which if they’re using masterbation as an easy dopamine crutch it could explain where there motivation to do anything else is going.

Easy dopamine isn’t a good thing. Dopamine is finite but renewable, so if you run through all your dopamine on easy hits your going to end up having motivational issues.

And if your constantly chasing short term Dopamine hits your brain is going to adjust to seek behavours that give instant gratification over somthing that’s just as rewarding, more productive for your personal or professional life, but takes longer to get that dopamine.

By all means deal with your libido in anyway that doesn’t hurt the people around you, but maybe retiring the wankers cramp for a bit might do you good once in a while.

I don’t think Japanese people spend as much time thinking about the west as you think.

Maybe “pretentious cinematic thrid person action game” and “buggy eSports 2000s nostalgia bait” games just don’t appeal to people in Japan as much as it does in the west.

Only at specific points where a car crossing a sidewalk is expected, such as a turn in to a driveway, or an active emergency that would require the car to cross onto the pavement. Drivers can’t just yeet themselves across the pavement for no reason.

I mean if sneezing at running speed of physically unfit person is so terrible, then why the fuck cars are not hardlimited to 10 km/h?

Because drivers have to go though training and always have the potential of having their license revoked. Not anyone can just walk up to a car dealership and walk out with a car and no understanding of road law. Divers can just be trusted more than people using other modes of transport, which is why they get to move faster.

And again, whataboutism. Being the lesser of two evils is not the same as being acceptable.

Yeah, in general. Cars are not allowed to drive on sidewalks under most if not all circumstances. The point is that e-scooters have their restrictions for a reason, regardless of any whataboutism relating to cars. We want walkable cites, not e-scootable.
