Note FEMA has no right to do anything on a states soil unless directed to by the states government. That’s why Puerto Rico had such trouble during Hurricane Maria and such. FEMA delivered resources and brought aid, but much of it sat on the runway with no dispersal instructions. So it just sat until orders eventually arrive. In some places pallets of water were sitting there months even past a year later.

It may seem strange to be advised to look at Florida for answers, but Hurricane response in Florida has been used, reused, and reconstructed to make it better many times. Every state/territory should have their governor delegate someone to pull up their Hurricane response plan and compare it to their own and revise anything needed to better it for their location.

But having grown up in Florida, I never really had elongated spans of being out in it now. The NCAA is a business. If you believe in a free market, then don’t make laws to dictate their rules. If people actually care they’ll stop buying that product and someone will start a new league with different rules and people can participate there.
If anything, do the country a favor and ban official sports teams from the education system. And people can join leagues outside of the college and it will help get education better suited. Scholarships should be for educating future minds to create a better future, not wasted on someone who isnt there for an education. The amount of corruption in schools do to sports in way to high.

I don’t think anyone really cares about sports or bathrooms when it comes down to it It’s all about the patriarchy. Not a single person I’ve met has mentioned a woman who became a man going into a men’s restroom as a problem. Or them entering mens sports outside of the dimly vieled “oh well they could get hurt and a man needs to protect them from making their own decisions”

We do know Obama tried to up the the salary limit for minimum wage for overtime requirements from 23,000 to over 47k but the courts blocked it. Then Trump set it at 35k. Biden has upped it to 55,000. Trump has said he wants to bring that back down. You know, because all those hard working Americans who make 40k a year don’t deserve to make overtime I guess.
The first year will be him living off Bidens reduction of inflation. EVERY policy Trump has discussed increases prices. So we will have hyper inflation.

I got paid a lot more than that doing similar for a while before the pandemic. Since the pandemic companies got caught up in the forcing people back into offices for no reason. When you are assisting people across the nation and there is information that cannot be allowed to be accessed outside it, they have to keep the jobs in the country to keep government contracts. There is no point in hiring someone in the city and have them drive in when it costs more to live in the city, it’s cheaper to pay someone who lives further away.
Why pay someone $35 an hour in a city that they can barely afford to live in and are always looking for a way out the door to find a better rate, when you can hire someone elsewhere who can live comfortably off $35 an hour and considers themselves lucky.
