I can’t speak for everyone, but if I’m not dead in the next 30 years I’m going to be extremely disappointed.

I am also not a fan of super growly vocals. There’s a lot of stuff I love musically but the vocals put me right off. I’d listen to bands like Opeth and Beyond the Buried and Me more often if the growls weren’t present.

If you’re looking for metal with cleaner singing, I second the suggestions for Unleash the Archers and Nightwish. I can also recommend Blind Guardian, though the singer’s voice is polarizing. One of my favorite metal singers is John Bush from Armored Saint. He also did a few albums with Anthrax in the 90s.

For instrumentals, I can’t recommend much aside from guitar virtuosos like Steve Vai. Occasionally bands will release instrumental versions of their songs as B-sides, bonus discs, etc. Might be worth checking into.

Not a whole lot, but it’s better than just my subbed feed. (Mostly niche interests far from any sort of critical mass.)

Not just union jobs, but traditionally union industries like auto workers as well. I have a friend that works in a factory in the US south. Not union, but the pay and benefits are close to keep UAW from gaining a foothold. He would complain about them handing out flyers in front of the plant every so often.

After a recent incident that had him sweating bullets over potentially losing his job for something minor (and having to face management and HR alone), I told him to take the leaflet next time. I hope he does.

The devs said at one point that some of the ideas in ToTK were supposed to be DLC at one point.

That’s it. That’s all some people are processing. “Oh it’s just DLC.” Facts don’t matter. It doesn’t matter that the reason it wasn’t DLC was that they kept expanding on the ideas. It doesn’t matter that the final product was a full game. “But they reused the map!!! 😡😡😡😡”

The “it’s just DLC lol” nonsense will persist until the end of time.

I appreciate all of the discourse. But I would like to clarify that the OP clearly states that one’s Smash main is how they are in the sheets. As someone who does not play Smash, that means I do not exist in the sheets. Whatever the proper terminology is, fair is fair, and I accept my fate.

My old car was that way. I remember a friend climbing in for a ride and being so embarrassed that the back seat was full of empty beverage bottles. When I finally got a new car, I told myself “no more.” 18 years later, the car looks its age on the interior but it’s not full of trash.
