I just write the document by hand the one time a year I need a printer. Doesn’t work for everything but is good enough for lots of the stuff that still requires your signature in ink

Nooodel@lemmy.worldOPto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•German FDP reveals Plan for more cars and less space for pedestrians in inner citiesEnglish3·11 months agoProbably the reason for that new direction; they noticed that quite some people are very emotionally heated against last generation etc and think ‘hey more cars in the city’ could bring them those voters. But most of them are not against doing sth against climate change… They are just part of the lazy majority that says anything as long as it doesn’t affect me and my lifestyle
Nooodel@lemmy.worldOPto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•German FDP reveals Plan for more cars and less space for pedestrians in inner citiesEnglish2·11 months agoYep, seeing as they’re not a ‘everyone has to agree to everything the leadership says’ kind of party, but one that accepts and promotes discourse, I feel absolutely fine voting for them every time and calling it out when they make a bad decision. I don’t think that holding the exterior ministry is helping Germany a lot to meet our climate goals, I do however see that the traffic ministry is failing the goals spectacularly after handing it off to the FDP
Nooodel@lemmy.worldto networking@sh.itjust.works•Company brought to its knees by a cableEnglish3·1 year agoTurns out a large excellence cluster technical university can do the same and bring down an entire campus for 2 days. Everything is in one big intranet, has main lines with high throughput routed to a large network node and one backup line from the local internet provider. It killed the main lines and thousands of staff plus some tens of thousands of students were connected through a household class fiber connection. That was fun :)
Ah, found a solution for that too. There’s services twhere you can send a pdf and they will print it, pack it in an envelope and send it to any address you specify.
