Nah man, I’m sure the wonderwaffen are gonna win it this time.

So Atomic Fireballs had already existed for a good decade or so when you started. It sounds more like you just became more aware of sour candy recently.
My opinion is that the probability of life developing on another planet, advancing to interstellar travel, and being physically close enough to us to visit us during the last few million years is so implausibly tiny that anyone seriously asking about their relations with human beings can be safely dismissed as a complete rube.
People love to talk about self reliance without thinking about it too hard - you’re not on your own, you’re entirely dependent on cooperating with others for your way of life. You did not builld you house, your car, your clothes, your bed. You did not grow your food, you did not mine the oil in your plastic products, nor refine it into them. You do not generate the electricity that powers your home and devices, you did not build the generator or infrastructure that brings power to you. Even the smallest things - the cutlery you use to eat, the soap you wash with, the bed you sleep on - were made by others for your use.
Self reliance is a capitalist myth that’s inherently disproven by modern civilisation.
It was the United States which pioneered the idea of the modern mail system
The UK had a general post office that deliverd to individuals over 100 years before the USA was founded. The US postal system is based on the UK one that delivered their mail before the US’s founding. Why on earth would you think the US pioneered it?
Couple of small issues with that idea: can’t hide from the big fiery sauron eye, and nazguls on pteradactyls.
You’re right on your interpretation of the word and to disagree with the poster. They’re just some lib psuedophrenologist.
Yeah, full contact details in the signature. They never reply, the cowards.
To give a more helpful answer to your question, I suspect the distinction comes in volume, disruption, and actionability - my emails are nothings, just some random citizen venting anger. If I were sending huge volumes to a specific MP rather than one every few months to the villain of the week, they’d probably come down on me for harassment. If I was a known extremist actor like some of the people I organise with (all ALF) or included details indicating I had an actionable plan to harm them, they’d probably treat it as a serious threat.
On the other hand, my parents were communist organisers during the second half of the cold war, so they get cops turning up at the door if they even hint at planning a protest or demonstration on social media.
I dunno but I assume not after the number of times I’ve emailed MPs telling them to kill themselves.
The Good, The Bad, and the Weird (좋은 놈, 나쁜 놈, 이상한 놈) is a fantastic slapstick take on the classic western that has a lot of fun with the setting.
Trollhunter (Trolljegeren) is a great horror-mockumentary done in a found footage style.
Basically anything by Kurosawa.
Edit: TO COMMUNISTS, ANARCHISTS, OR ANYONE ELSE CALLING FOR THE OVERTHROW OF SOCIETY
THIS OBVIOUSLY ISN’T MEANT FOR YOU.
You’re asking why radical leftists reject your reformism. Who other than radical leftists are going to give you an actual answer instead of a pat on the back?
Anyway the answer is liberalism is far more violent, it just exports the violence overseas and commits it at an industrialised level. The infamous “Terror” in France only killed a few thousand people - the Iraq war killed over a million. While millions were killed in the cultural revolution, hundreds of millions were killed by the British Raj. Revolutionary violence is in fact far less violent than regular capitalism, so you’re hated for supporting its continuation.
“Dead meat is hung, live meat is hanged.” Turns out most people’s grandma’s aren’t radical leftist english teachers.
Actually I jumped to conclusions based on the whole comment, as it makes them seem like they consider becoming a moral relativist to be speeding through maturity.
Ok, I see what you mean, the way you wrote it made it seem like you considered the process of becoming a moral relativist to be speed running maturity. Well done for growing out of it, then.
to go full moral relativism right away
Jesus, so you still think the mature stance was “maybe Hitler wasn’t morally wrong”? Bad news, you still have a lot of maturing to do. Like a fucking phenomenal amount. Just because your beliefs as a child were even more baseless doesn’t mean you’ve moved to a sensible position.
The only marketing I don’t hate is handwritten signs by the gate to a farm with addendums like “manur: $free$”
Oh I agree, what I mean is that the similarities were barely even superficial. They were both hero shooters, but so are Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Seige, and you’d never compare them to Overwatch.
because it was superficially similar to Overwatch it absolutely bombed.
Sort of, the real issue was it had no advertising of its own, just Randy Pitchford synergising buzzwordsalad on twitter and trying to create a rivalry with Overwatch. Nobody really knew what it was supposed to be from advertising, because nobody thought to just say “FPS MOBA”.
To my knowledge she got away without any real consequences - last I heard she had the same position at one of the competitors.
So you can stack hay.
