I far more admire a computer where someone has taken the time to actually invest some customization that took skill. Bending watercool hard tubing around a hand made or modified case. Lights are fine for accent or drama, but not as a misrepresentation of uniqueness or effort.

I always find irony in the fact that the US helped set up better forms of government in the countries it fought in WW2, Japan and Germany, than it could make better in its own country.

They’ve been told they’re victims for such a long time - not that their own choices helped put them where they are - that it’s everyone else’s fault they aren’t living the American Dream. So they lash out like angry toddlers and take happiness from someone else’s suffering, they actively seek to increase it. Doesn’t matter if it’s taking away LGBTQ rights and actively encouraging discrimination against them, ripping kids away from brown-skinned parents, or letting women die thanks to the lack of abortion services. So because Billy Bob can’t afford a lifted F150, the government won’t let him have a full-auto AR variant, and he can’t stand a school that might read his kids a story about a gay couple, everyone else has to suffer worse to make his lot look better.

Not really the same animal. Foil dissipates heat extremely quickly, and I’ve pulled plenty a pizza or other item out of an oven or off a baking sheet that just came out hot when it’s on foil.

I think it’s pretty obvious that the intent of what we’re discussing isn’t someone sliding out a few hot cookies on parchment paper. We wouldn’t be having this conversation were that the case.

There is no way someone grew up without a parent both demonstrating and explaining to let the water warm up first. Might as well fill a tub with cold water and sit in it, then say just add hot water until it’s comfortable. Even if the household was abusive or something and kids were told to shower cold while the water warmed up they still would have figured out on their own that running hot water first would get hot water faster.
