They never forced a retroactive change
They never forced a retroactive change
I think this is an excuse. Using the CLI you can easily create and specify the default branch. It’s also not difficult to check the branch name.
I use GitHub and all my older repos have a master branch with no forced change. When did they force a change? I think you are mistaken.
We’re just used to it though. What does master have above main in terms of communicating context?
This is going to sound vague but I hope it’s somewhat helpful. Make peace with it. Acknowledge what happened, accept that he was rude, and learn from it. It feels like you are already on that road. You recognize now he was being rude, and you feel like you realize the school was too pretentious for you. Take it as a learning moment and look out for it in the future.
Money doesn’t buy happiness but it does remove money related stress.
Regardless everyone should be paid a fair wage and in an ideal world money should not be a concern for day to day life.
I love the confidence here after stating you don’t use Twitch. Twitch changed the way they deliver in stream ads, it’s much more difficult to block now because it comes in as part of the video stream and not something added on top.
Definitely correct with regards to Blockbuster.
I think more specifically this brings back feelings of the social side of video stores and being a kid and doing everything with a group. Usually we’d have friends over (mine or my siblings) to watch the movies with us. I’m an adult now and still happy but I miss all the social things I used to do with my friend group. I still see them but not as often and almost never all at the same time. Youth is an interesting time of life.
My thoughts exactly. I welcome my scooter bros.
I used to sneak in to E3 in the 2000s when it was industry only. It was always a blast. But I also think this style of show is done for in general. I really like the Nintendo Directs and it seems like other companies have figured out how to do their own version. I also like that we get news throughout the year instead of in May.

This poll kind of sucks for data gathering. You ask two different questions but there’s only one set of answers. Even the first question alone asks if we use and/or require, which should be separate.
To answer though: I use my headphone adapter whenever I travel but don’t have a regular headphone jack. A jack is not absolutely required for me to purchase a phone but the adapter is.
My main PC is all white (by coincidence) so I named it Minas Tirith
I forgot how random Turok 3 got.
I’m ready for the nostalgia field trip and getting my butt kicked in multiplayer just like the old days
Love Linux but that’s mostly steam deck pumping up numbers. Look at year over year desktop usage and it’s not spiking even though it would be cool if it did.
We didn’t do the CD ones but we did the Encyclopedia one. It was helpful pre world wide web.
This is literally the same as me. I’m trying to contribute to niche communities here to help drive engagement.
If you’d like help I could volunteer some time. I’d be active in spurts though, I couldn’t be checking throughout the whole day.
Yes we have a serious problem with that. I’m not sure what that has to do with a large threat like 9/11 though. We lost 3000 Americans in a day. We can discuss that without having to bring in every problem at once.
