Thank you. I’m going to try this.
It’s programming languages all the way down.
The middle of what lane? Here in Michigan, bicycles are not considered at all during road planning. The most we get is a painted gutter called a ‘cycle lane’, which gets blocked by parked automobiles if it even exists. Recently a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run, and it didn’t sound as though the driver is even facing charges. Anyone not in an automobile is unofficially considered at-fault for such type of incidents.
I grew up cycling on automobile roads, and was taught to ride on the left, so that I could be more aware and prepared for oncoming traffic. Riding on the right is trusting the drivers to avoid you, while riding on the left allows vision of the drivers as they approach.
I was responding not to the article, but to the comment above me, which was stating that a cyclist in North America must be to the right as far as possible.
Sharing the roadway in the same direction is foolish. When a cycle must share the road, safest to be on the opposite side, to more clearly see oncoming traffic.
We could go with tried and true methods, like trains, buses, etc. Much better overall result, but yes, not a simple change.
Another option is just refusing to own a linerlock. I can close them, I just dislike the design and insist on lockback for any folder I carry.
Plenty of bots already migrating content, see about making a bot do the moving for you.
You don’t have to feel bad, but if you make some adjustments, it becomes easier for people to read and understand your point. As it was, scrolling past your post would be easy for those interested in your topic, simply because the first bit had nothing to do with the actual content.
Do you notice that your title and the first quarter of your post are rambling about posting, instead of focusing on the content of your post? There was little idea what the post was about until halfway through the main body. Consider the following alterations, naming the post more like “login issues” or " unable to log in", and deleting everything in the body before “I was going to log in”. Put a little context in the middle of the post, if necessary; we don’t need a prequel to your choice to post as an introduction.
I moved my tech-phobic mother’s laptop from windows to Ubuntu and the support calls went from several a week to a couple a month. The type of calls changed from needing me to do something, to asking how she could do something. I would suggest Ubuntu to anyone looking to get started with an ULOS.
Superluminal is short, very much on rails, and has basically no replayability. Interesting concept, but definitely no Portal.
