Ukraine definitely needs to hold on longer. They also should maintain the aggressive attacks on oil and fuel facilities. Reducing those facilities to ruble will strangle Russia’s ability to generate income for the next decade.

Hmmmmm …
From what I have read, the optimal lethal distance for the shrapnel pattern on these small bombs is usually 2-4m away from the explosion.
Paying for wounded and disabled soldiers is expensive. Are they training them to rollover and die?
That’s the other 15% of course.
Drones are replacing artillery and aircraft as the primary weapon of power on the battlefield. That 85% number is truly remarkable.
In previous conflicts that’s about the percentage of casualties and equipment losses that aircraft and artillery combined caused.
Two things stood out to me.
Defense Minister Ruslan Umerov said 96% of all drones fielded by the Ukrainian military are domestically manufactured.
About 85% of all Russian casualties and vehicle kills on the battlefield are scored by Ukrainian drones.
That means so 82% of the effective combat activity is domestically produced.
My guess at the full story:
They left their vehicles out in the open while they got drunk. The Ukrainians found them and destroyed them. Not once or twice, but half a dozen times.
Leadership says no more vehicles for you but you still have to make the deliveries.
And the poor donkey gets drafted.
This video is what happens when the drink comes out again.
From the interviews posted yesterday with some NK captives: They are ordered to not be captured. They are directed to commit suicide instead.
That’s a pretty wild video.
This war is being documented like none before.
Those long distance carrier drones are making their mark. Hauling FPV drones deep behind the front line to attack high value targets.
Many of the FPV drones appear to have a remote detonation ability now. There’s quite a few videos of them landing drones next to russians playing possum. Then detonating them when they move.
Makes it much easier for the drone operator to get all of the passengers with the shrapnel.
Well they are moving and under fire. It’s an “assault” as they run away from the front line without weapons.
I am guessing it’s like how the direct hits from drones never cause any damage to Russian oil or ammo facilities. It’s always debris from a shot down drone causing the issue.
I wonder if the missiles are being constructed at all. Ukraine has been getting really good at shooting them down. So large waves of missiles are required to overwhelm their defenses.
Ukraine has also made the logistics of launching them more challenging. Planes and storage locations have to be stored much further away. The remaining ships in the black sea are hiding in port afraid to come out and play with Ukraine’s drones.
I wonder if the Russian did an analysis and decided that it was better to put money and energy into making more drones.
The main Stargate base was an underground bunker.
Those drones are likely being stored in an underground bunker.
Insane to think given their pre-war stockpile but a lack of supply might the the answer to that question. Not as many targets for Ukraine to hit.
The losses to the long range systems is insane lately especially the Artillery. They have been averaging 30+ a day for months.
I am guessing they hit it while it was reloading. The breach was open and the propellant charge went off. I am guessing toasty guy who got out was the driver.
Had to do some research into what the hell that was. It’s and adaption of a domestically produced weapon in Ukraine. And holy fuck it’s effective.
In 2017 Ukroboronprom’s Scientific Research Institute for Chemical Products in conjunction with Artem State Enterprise [uk] (aka Artem Holding Company) announced to the market its new product, the RGT-27S [uk]. These can be combined with the RPV-16 [uk] grenade launcher, a demonstration of which was witnessed by Oleksandr Turchynov. The grenades, of approximately 600 grams, “create a two second fire cloud with a volume of not less than 13 m³, inside of which the temperature reaches 2,500 degrees[clarification needed]. This temperature allows not only for the destruction of the enemy, but are also able to disable lightly armored vehicles.”[71][72] The firm showed them at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition in 2018.[73]
Shaled drone listed maximum speed - 185kph.
Unless I miss.my guess that used to be a Lada Riva - model designed in 1980, discontinued in 2012. They were everywhere in Russia and older ones were used as farm vehicles in Ukraine. They were very popular because the parts were easy to come by, one way or another.
Off topic but I wonder how many of those navy drones Taiwan is looking at developing.
They would make any invasion fleet China sends a new reef on the bottom of the sea.
The larger impact around the globe that Ukraine has done with these drones will be felt for decades. A few converted fishing boats carrying these have the ability to sink ships of the most powerful navies in the world .
