The literal post you’re commenting in is asking why everyone is talking about electric cars when trains are a thing.
Idk why I’m still commenting. This is such a waste of energy. Peace.

I’m not against trains or walkable cities, I’m completely for them. But the notion of getting rid of cars entirely is just delusional.

No need for the nasty attitude.

UhBell@lemmy.worldto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•[meme] Trains are 100000x easier to electrify and automate than cars, so why does everyone keep talking about electric and driverless cars?English82·2 years agoWhile I understand and agree with your sentiment, there are a lot of cases where delivery simply isn’t offered. Also, I’d appreciate a less agressive tone as we are intending to have civil discussion.
I agree that public transportation, infrastructure , and zoning laws need a massive overhaul to promote more walkable and pedestrian-friendly cities, but it’s not realistic to eliminate privately owned cars entirely. They will always exist, so it’s best to ensure these cars are as efficient as possible.

UhBell@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Every generation has some product/ingredient that they didn’t know was dangerous at the time: tobacco, lead, asbestos, etc. What is that item for this generation?English111·2 years agoFructose is typically fine when it’s paired with equal amounts of glucose, like in fruit. Your body has a really hard time processing high concentrations of fructose alone, which is how most sugary food is produced now a days since high fructose is a much cheaper method of sweetening food than a balanced mix of sugars.

This is why they beg even if food is still left at the bottom.393·2 years agoNot every cat responds the same, or at all, to stress on their whiskers. Just like people, cats have varrying tolerances to stimulus.
Anecdotally, my cats would not finish their food in narrow bowls but do now that they eat from flat bowls.
