“Your honor is in your loyalty” - they really are going full Nazi.
…or, I should say 52% of the 2024 voting public.
No. I hold those who didn’t vote accountable too.
Not to shift focus from AFU, but this Polish version is also pretty cool.
Very German even.
Unfortunately that also means they are pushing hard. They might reach Kurakhove and Pokrovsk before the mud kicks in.
Nobody is airlifting a tank when introducing it to the army. They will ship it to Europe and then move it through Poland, just like everything else.
That might be as well but the article is about Pbv 302 APC, which is much older, 1960’s stuff.
Similar role and similar longevity to the M2 machine gun.

You:
The T-34 is a direct design descendant
vs
The article you link:
The T-18 and its derivatives were essentially unsuccessful designs, …, and in the meantime a number of foreign tank designs were available for production.
You were simply wrong.
WDYM? English Wikipedia article on T-34 also mentions origin from Christie’s designs.
That’s wrong. T-34 was an evolution of the BT series tanks, which themselves evolved from designs of Walter J. Christie, whose licence Soviets bought in the beginning of 30’s.
EDIT: And to be pedantic: Although it was directed from Moscow, the main tank plant was in todays Kharkiv, Ukraine - so it’s more accurate to talk about Soviet tank program.
Happy hunting!

In August 1918 bolshevik russia lost the Battle of Lake Baikal to the Czechoslovak Legion. Czechoslovakia proclaimed independence only on 28th October 1918. And as a bonus: the legion did that using captured russian ships.
Britisches Freikorps was quite a shitshow but it did exist.
Reminder that russia managed to lose a naval battle to a country that didn’t exist yet.
For those who don’t know, Peklo means Hell.
