I really should read that one. I’ve been a fan of Poe’s Haunted for a long time.

I’m reading Universal Harvester by John Darnielle. I think I like it, but how much probably depends on how the writer is able to bring it all together in the end. I do like the somewhat unconventional structure though, and the book is very atmospheric. It feels like it’s more focused on painting pictures of a time and place than strictly telling a story, or something, I’m not good at describing it.

I’m reading through The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien. It’s decent book, but but can be pretty heavy at times. This is my second time reading it.

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.

I’m going to be a bit cheeky and say Pulp by Charles Bukowski.

I hate that Tales of Maj’Eyal is my favorite Open Source game. I hate that a new expansion is coming out soon and I will instantly buy it and play it and hate myself. Check it out!

OpenTTD and Widelands are also pretty cool.

I’m going to go with a classic and recommend Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

The King in Yellow is great. Doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

I don’t. When I’m clearly not enjoying a book and don’t feel like finishing it, I stop and move on. Unless I have a pressing reason, I see no point in pushing myself to do something I hate. Reading is for me is fun and interesting, it is not something I do to torture myself. Sometimes it’s hard to “give up” on a book, but in the end life is too short.

Do what you enjoy the way that works for you, there are no rules.

Libraries love this one little trick.

Maybe also look into Astrid Lindgren’s Bill Bergson books and Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter.

I recommend Peter Pan.

Psychology is a lot more than just psychotherapy my dude. It’s the study of human mind and behavior. It’s a vast field of study.

Stanford has an interesting lecture series on youtube. Yale has one too.

Happens about once a year. It doesn’t last long, so I just kind of savor the feeling.
