The problem with this logic is the manufactures have no control over the iPhone update. The article didn’t go into exactly what happened, but it could have been that the device worked fine at launch, but then Apple released an update which caused an issue in the app. Even if it didn’t happen this way I could definitely see it happening. Using an app for critical life sustaining medical devices is like playing Russian Roulette, an update from Google or Apple can put you in the hospital, or worse.
I think a more direct translation is “The city of the future moves on a bike”. Not sure what google translate says but those sites usually miss the subtleties of language.
Great Video
I have to chime in on this one, I grew up in Oregon and worked at Target a couple of years as a cashier and cart collector. This was by far the most miserable job I have ever had, it sucked. Besides leaving their nasty ass trash and dirty diapers in the carts people would leave them scattered all over the mall parking lot. It was my job to walk a mile or so around the lot that encircled the mall at closing time in the pouring rain and collect them. This was before they had the robots that push them for the workers, so we used a rope attached to the front to steer about 35-40 at once. With out fail id consantly get my sopping wet feet run over by those fucking things while trying to push them back to the store. Not to mention, we’d get the occasional wind storm and the ones that weren’t corraled would blow all over the parking lot crashing into cars. Then we’d get bitched at by the customers. Trust me when you put a cart back in the corral, the people working at the store appreciate it. There’s more than enough other work to get done in retail.
I’ve always bought small pickups so I can haul materials when working on remodel jobs. I hadn’t surveyed the market since I bought my last used 2006 frontier 12 years ago. I had to do a double take when first looking at the size of the “small size” pickups offered by the car manufactures. I couldn’t believe the size of them. The only thing offered these days is the ford maverick. I’ve given up on trying to get a replacement truck. The offerings today are completely impractical.
Another vote for Fastmail here, almost a decade now. Super reliable, and great customer service, any problems or questions I have are always answered within a couple of hours via their tech support. I also use them to host my own domains.
Wow, such a cool concept. I grew up in a city of around the same size, (~100k) it would have been incredible to go from one end to the other without having to worry about being hit by a car on my bike.
The oils definitely help keep the food from sticking, in fact butter/margarine seem to work the best for whatever reason, but they just don’t seem to compare to the non-stick ability of pam. I am using anodized aluminum pans. We were trying to find an alternative to throwing out multiple cooking spray canisters each month (we cook a lot and have a medium sized family). I’ve noticed this especially when cooking eggs (in the pans) and salmon on the grill.
I think I found for me that it was more the adult game content than anything else that kept me from playing a lot. My kids are 9 now, but when they were 3 or 4 Imy solution was to buy a psvita off ebay and use the remote play a lot. I think they have the same thing for phones and you can buy some pretty cool controller attachments. Although it’s not perfect, it allowed me to play some more intense PS games from anywhere in the house, without having to worry about the little ones seeing them.
lol, so true I deal with this ALL the time. A bike lane that abruptly spills into a road with cars going 35-40 mph. And for some reason the barely visible pavement worn bike lane symbol in the middle of the road is supposed to signify that somehow it’s safe for you to ride there. “Share the road” (facepalm).
Any “Gaming” headphones they are all such trash. Buy a nice pair of headphones with a quality metal headband and get an audio cable with a built in mic.
