I agree.
I agree.
I felt my comment was rational based on the information presented, just trying to understand. I’m surprised it made you so unhinged.
I’m also not really sure why some random internet handle/username has set you off, it’s not like my username is “I_drop_then_ship_yo_HDDs_lol”.
This is a weird post, the HDD boxes are already packaged in a way that works well for shipping. Also the retailer doesn’t necessarily ship the package either. I think you’re asking more about shipping companies.
There is always a risk. Nothing is 100% secure. It’s low but the risk is there. Noobies also make configuration mistakes which can impact security severely.
Don’t forget about heart bleed, the openssl vulnerability that went undetected for years.
My home shit is also not funded by a Corp with all kinds of fancy threat detection and prevention stuff. I don’t have the time or desire to deal with it, nor do I need to serve other users, only my own needs. Therefore vpn is more secure.
Is your web server set up to use a domain? Like if you’re using Apache vhosts or anything, I’m pretty sure you need to configure your domain in there too, and then restart the web server.
As others have said, close port 80. I actually stopped exposing ports a while back. I just configured always on vpn on my phone instead. Much more secure.
Depends on your clients I guess. I don’t use mine for that since the corp world is so heavy on the MS software, and lots of RAT have mixed results on Linux. I just use a Windows machine for that and leave my deck for my gaming.
It’s been a while since I used it but from what I recall, yes
Edit:
I do use calibre so I guess that was what I was doing:
Yes, Kindle now supports EPUB, but with some limitations:
Direct EPUB Support: Amazon updated its Send-to-Kindle service to allow EPUB files, meaning you can send an EPUB file via email or the Send to Kindle app, and it will be converted into a Kindle-compatible format.
No Native EPUB Reading: Kindle devices do not natively read EPUB files. They are automatically converted to Amazon’s AZW3 or KFX format.
Workaround for Sideloading: If you want to transfer EPUB files manually, you can use Calibre to convert them to MOBI or AZW3 before transferring them via USB.
Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!
I have a Kindle and a Kobo. I download books from sites on both of them.
I have been doing this already for years though? The Epub part. I just download all my books and put them on there.
Clicked on link.
“JOCOBIN” in all caps converting my whole phone screen. Ya fuck this site. Closed.
I’m similar to some here, using keepassxc and nextcloud
I feel like this all flew over my head. I could tell something was flying under the radar but not quite what. The splitting of the flag, like what’s the meaning there? If he’s talking about the revolution, is he talking about against or for trump? To me it sounded the opposite, wouldn’t a revolution be against what is at present, which is trump?
These are total bullshit Corp articles. Another way to stifle pay. If your skillet is good for the job you should get paid that. The only benefit to working in the office is to get needlessly bagged at by walkby’s. What’s the point of walking to your home office, getting on a computer working, vs wasting unnecessary time in traffic creating pollution and walking to the office to get on a computer and work? It’s stupid.
Something to do with getting the chainsaw if I recall correctly but it never worked for me, or on whatever version of the wad I had.
IDKFA, and many others
I build a NAS in 2015. It runs TrueNAS Scale, tons of docker containers for self hosting everything, and 4x 16TB disks in RAIDZ2. I can lose any 2 disks and be ok.
Edit:
I should add that I also ship my data with rsync to back blaze b2, and truenas has built in capabilities to encrypt the datasets before shipment, including directory/dataset names. My shits all up there encrypted and randomly named.
I’m on a pixel, not on my phone.
I’ve been happy with joplin, I leave it on my nextcloud
I’m in the same boat as you. I researched it a bit. Yes, Soylent Green is a movie. It is a meal replacement product made up of human remains. The movie takes place in 2022. The real Soylent is not human remains (or is it? 🤣).
I had no idea meal replacements were so popular.
