It will load into your VRAM first, then your RAM. If you can fit everything into VRAM, you get the fastest speed. But even if you are using RAM, it’s not terribly bad; it’s still faster than you can read.

Bazzite is very nice for gaming only. If you want to do any dev-related things, like installing Wireshark or programming an ESP32, anything that needs to access outside of the sandbox/container, you will need to learn how to navigate through sandbox/container hell, exposing ports from each other, and installing things directly to rpm-ostree, etc. It gets ugly really fast.
