Every person who gets money without working for it is a parasite.

There are good parasites, like kids, students or people that cannot work for medical reasons.

The rest are various levels of bad parasites, some worse than others, but all bad.

I think there’s a difference between first language and native.

I believe native means a level of language equivalent to the people of the place where that language is talked.

A first language is usually spoken at native level because most people will have been using it all their lives. But if you don’t because you moved away or whatever reason I don’t think you’ll have a native level.

On the other hand you can become native in a language that’s not your first language. If you speak it so well that’s indistinguishable from any other person from that place.

If you are not using a magnetic needle and a steady hand, can you even call yourself a programmer?

Democrats failed to solve people’s issues. That’s just it.

But Americans are in for a hard awakening if they think that in general Latin American population is progressive or left leaning. And that democrats have their guaranteed vote.

Each person is different, of course. And the average doesn’t change any person individual values.

But on average Latin American countries tend to have overwhelming conservative cultures when compared with USA/Europe.

This doesn’t negate any Latin American person who is progressive, of course. Just talking about averages and the reality that was shown by the polls.

In general Democrats, and any left leaning party, think that because they defend immigrants, immigrants will support them by default. This has been shown far from the truth. If someone have conservative values they will probably vote for a conservative party. That’s just it. One person won’t become progressive (as in stopping being sexist or transphobic) just because they moved from one country to another. An immigrant is a whole person with their own sets of values, both before and after they migrate, and won’t be reduced to “being an immigrant” when voting, specially once they are legally settled in a place and their residence won’t be at risk, they will just vote for their values. If they have conservative values they’ll vote conservative if they have progressive values they’ll vote progressive.

This is heresy.

I always thought that xenos was more refering to people from outside, like physically from a different place.

But I really know nothing about words, greek, latin or whatever. So it will probably be a better choice of words.

You all are overthinking it way too much.

Most people hate anything that’s different or uncommon to themselves and their “world”.

Simple as that.

It’s heterophobia in the semantic sense of the word “fear of anything that’s different”.

It depends on your goals, and what cultures are you interested in.

I’m also fluent in Spanish and English (native Spanish though), and my third language of choice has always been between Chinese or Japanese. I like east asian culture, technology and many of their cultural exports. So it was an easy choice for me (easy the choice, languages… not so easy).

I certainly doubt it. They would probably just be protecting themselves and their own kind.

If a humpback whale have experiences of killing whales attacking them or their offspring probably thought it was a good idea to do as possible to interfere with them. Probably would carry a genocide on orcas giving the chance.

I don’t think it is out of mercy. Mercy is something that is learning growing in a better environment that any animal growing in the brutal natural world.
