As much as i think the LCD one is insane value, especially the cheapest one, i know i’ll be keeping it for a long time, so i just want the better model. The display improvements are hard to ignore, plus you get a battery life boost too, and that on its own is the selling point for me

Some of my closest friendships are people I’ve either never seen, or only got to meet a couple times. It’s not like living far away makes them worse friends.
You never know what kind of situation you’ll end up in. One time my transfer flights got messed up, and I was left stranded in a random airport for almost a day. I ended up asking around, and one of those long-distance friends drove hours to pick me up, get me some food, and let me get rest too.

Especially in comparison to some of the horrors we’ve seen released on Switch, from Nintendo’s own first-party developers, the engine XC3 was built on is pretty damn impressive, for how much it offers on such limited and old hardware.

Your first stop should have been the protondb page for your game. Given that most other people report it as running out of the box, then the issue lies somewhere else.
Which proton versions have you tried? Since you have an Nvidia card, what is the driver revision? What desktop environment, and version of it are you using?
I hate to say it, but reinstalling your entire OS multiple times, without doing any troubleshooting, has been a waste of your time

Has anyone here played the first one? I’ve been interested in it for a minute, but it’s come out during the souls-like craze, and ended up looking just like everything else out there. I got Salt and Sanctuary instead of it.

That doesn’t even put into consideration all the games that run perfectly fine, but have no proper input support, or those that require minor tweaks/mods, as mentioned. The number would have been colossally larger as a result.
Still unbelievably impressive though, granted that any of “proper” consoles will never see a game library of this scale
