Knights of the Old Republic: D20 based RPG set in pre-BBY Star Wars universe. Excellent story and characterization, great gameplay and progression - I’ve replayed it at least six times. If you like Mass Effect at all you should enjoy this. The sequel is worthy but not the same gem that moved the genre, but a worthy title
The sequel has Sara Kestelman as Kreia, that alone makes it worth playing IMHO.

Star Trek TNG because childhood and Gates McFadden.
If you like JRPGs and haven’t played it, Radiant Historia would be a great choice.
It’s the biggest downside of having a transparent audio setup: the music that wasn’t well recorded/mastered is going to stick out like a sore thumb.
I’m about to finish Phoenix Wright 1 and with it the whole saga (I started my replay with 2), and I’m playing Breath Of Fire IV. The first time was 2 years ago and my phone died mid-playthrough, hopefully this time there will be no issues. I’m playing it on an RG Cube for the portability, the only downside is I can’t fully appreciate the gorgeous sprite work in such a small screen.
Slay The Spire alone can give you hundreds of hours, even thousands.
If you don’t mind emulation (or maybe own a 3DS already), I think Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale for 3DS fits your criteria quite well.
Gris and Subnautica. For different reasons, they made me feel things I didn’t think I could feel while playing video games anymore.
I think Persona 4: Golden is a good entry point into the franchise.
I took that for granted, It’s Nintendo and they had several years of advantage.

I got Copy of Maniac Mansion for NES for free at a second hand games store . According to the store owner the game didn’t work and asked me if I wanted it because the box still looks good in a shelf anyway. I put it in my NES and it worked without issues. This was around 10-12 years ago.

It’s a shame they forced them to release it unfinished. If you decide to play it, install the Restored Content Mod from the Steam Workshop. It restores a lot of cut content, making the game a bit more complete.
