Yeah, a lot of this RTO business is some misguided perception that the wealthy work the hardest, and are thusly disproportionately compensated. They don’t realize how hard everyone around them needs to work to keep things moving and give them their lifestyle.

The workplace can feel like a prison for most workers trying to do their job, even if it’s what they like to do. For these CEOs and people at the top, it’s a space they built for themselves, of course they want to go to the office.

For those reading, don’t let them fool you about down selling your worth. If you’ve got the skills they want, and you show that, they’ll pay you. Job history conversations are just a way to try and leverage lower pay or benefits on you.

There’s not enough context here to have a strong opinion, but I’ll add that personally, nothing has given me a bigger raise than getting a job at another company.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Python, like most languages, can be as complex as you make it.

I hope more media content continues to call out the benefits of remote work while criticizing the nonsensical need to sit in a chair, next to other people that oftentimes don’t want to be there.

Good to see someone using Linux for their platform on these handhelds. The big reason I don’t want to try the Ally or whatever the others are doing is I can’t imagine Windows is making the experience better.

I don’t really have evidence to support that, but more Linux investment is better overall.

If it hasn’t been mentioned, I think it’s newer than 5 years but Return of the Obra Dinn and Curse of the Golden Idol are great short games that you can pick up and put down as you like.
