You seem to have interpreted “under 1%” as “almost 1%” instead of “less than 1%”. Less than 1% includes 0%… which it isn’t, because there have been a few deaths caused by experimental cars, just far fewer than the hundreds of thousands caused by drivers of fully certified cars. Similarly, “over 80” includes figures like 84% or 92% that I’ve seen cited from a quick Google search.

In any case, if you think any of what I said is made up, only way to be sure would be to check it out yourself, wouldn’t it?

Ironically, that’s nonsense. Experimental cars on public roads barely cause any deadly accidents (under 1%), unlike distracted road-certified human drivers (over 80%); there is still twice as many births than deaths per year, predictions don’t expect there to be “enough” deaths for a stable population before 2085; and wind turbine blades already can change pitch without flying apart anyway. 🤷

There are constant natural disasters, pandemics, famines, wars, climate going berserk… and if you look at the world population counter, it’s still going up.

With 8 billion people out there, an average lifespan of 80 would make it “normal” for 100 million to die each year. The average lifespan is barely over 72, though, that’s got room for a lot of disasters in there.Any global disaster that doesn’t kill at least 10% of the population, or over 800 million, is barely going to register on a “species” scale.

Brace yourself for a disaster a day for the foreseeable future. This is the new normal.

Which is a great thing in places where the sun would otherwise scorch the earth not letting anything grow.

There are combined projects of “solar panels + grass + sheep”. The grass helps retain water, lowering the temperature under the panel, which increases panel efficiency, and the sheep keep the grass from growing too tall, while feeding themselves.

  • But us onlookers can’t even know for sure what these frictions are, only speculate.

I’ve looked at an interview with an Israeli political sciences professor yesterday, that went something like this:

    • Professor: “…and this is why countries like Israel have the right to defend themselves”
    • Host: “Right. What about the Pales…”
    • Professor: “That’s not an issue”
    • Host: “There are civilian…”
    • Professor: “Israeli civilians have been harmed and we need to respond”
    • Host: “Is the response proportion…”
    • Professor: “Respond to destroy the terrorists”
    • Host: “It seems like Gaza population is…”
    • Professor: “Gaza is Israel, there is no population, we need to rid it of terrorists”

As an onlooker, I’d say that is a FREAKING HUGE and obvious “friction”, when one side denies the existence of the other.

  • The night of my 11th birthday party when my mom received a call about grandma passing away… someone overheard it, so they decided we’d play hide&seek, and left me “seeking” while everyone just left and went home.

I don’t think about it often anymore, but that was the last time I called them “friends”.

  • it’s like watching two children fighting over who’s sandcastles can be built in the sandbox

    Welcome to war.

And what do we do if children can’t learn to share? You take away everything and no one is happy.

So is that what this is going to come to? Do adults need to intervene to quell the infants?

That would be nice… only there are no adults.

PS: any adults 👽 out there… whenever you’re ready, we welcome you 🛸
