They were talking about anime (most likely). It was a joke.

Or even if they would just let us bond the TV speakers together to use as a center channel and augment that with a cheap 2.0/2.1 soundbar I bet it would be an improvement in dialogue clarity, even if the imaging would be a bit of a disaster.
Sounds like a rough spot, I’m glad things worked out for you.
Oh I see, I was panicking a bit because I thought you were stating that it was a part of the EO and I couldn’t find any references to support it. I don’t really have a backup address since I live with my parents at the moment (dealing with said MH diagnosis). Thank you for taking the time to respond OP.
I’m in the United States so I read the sections relevant to the United States. I’m just trying to find where this claim of people with a mental health diagnosis needing multiple addresses due to the new EO comes in. That would impact me personally.
According to the sources in the Wikipedia article, in the US at least, the term de-banking wasn’t even in popular use until some right-wing nutjobs started claiming that the government was using it to shut down conservative “tech” companies, and then latched onto by people like Joe Rogan and Elon Musk to scam people into replacing their bank accounts with crypto currency.
I don’t know what that saying means, but I hate the Trump administration I promise. I hate FUD too though. More FUD = less energy to spend on the actual battles that need to be fought. I have my own mental health diagnosis and currently live in my parent’s spare property so what OP said would personally impact me if true. I can’t find where it’s stated though.
Sorry, /s means sarcastic. If anything I would absolutely expect them to pay for multiple mixes/masters given what’s been said about how people consume it.
What would be the alternative? You don’t really expect the streaming companies to pay for TWO masters do you!? (/s if it wasn’t obvious)
Sharing info about de-banking is cool but lets try to keep the FUD out of it. What the so-called “ENDING CRIME AND DISORDER ON AMERICA’S STREETS” order says regarding this seems mostly contained in Sec. 3, which basically threatens to pull housing and urban development funds from states that don’t meet the administrations crazy rules. . I also see nothing to validate your claim that folks with a mental health diagnosis need three addresses (two back-up addresses implies the existence of a third main address).
Yeah but are we trying to get people into Trek or specifically into TNG?
That was basically my thought as well, but I still say it plays well as a stand-alone story to give someone a taste of Trek. They may be confused at the beginning of the episode but I feel it’s self contained and focused enough that most people can pick up the major beats from context (Cardassians = occupiers, Bajorans = formerly occupied). And then hopefully the acting, the mystery, and the twist ending are enough to, like you said, make the viewer want to learn more.
Edit: I’m thinking of ‘Frame of Mind’, but both episodes are pretty scary.
I’m nearing 40 and ‘Schisms’ is still straight up nightmare fuel for me. Wonderful performance from Frakes.
Also “Duet” from S1 of DS9. Incredible acting.
“Carbon Creek” serves as a VERY light introduction to some core Star Trek elements. It’s far from “the best” but it’s a heartwarming little peak into the world of Trek. You even see some Vulcan’s become influenced by human compassion which is a good way of showing what makes humans special.
I plan to show my mom Carbon Creek sometime soon.
Janeway kept Kim on a permanent coffee-finding mission.
As a holder of multiple CompTIA certificates I wholeheartedly agree that they’re useless. Unfortunately they’re by far the most common means of contractors (the actual people, not the companies) checking off the boxes to qualify for U.S. government IT contracts; which means they’re still relevant.
Oh lol haha my bad.
