Evem adults most often don’t have it. Addiction starts with trauma, often in mother’s womb. If mother is under stress while pregnant, huge and long stress, child has much bigger chances to become an addict.
They obviously have too many people and are asking them to leave.
If they were without options, they would offer more money or would change work conditions for better. They will not disapear.
Just idea that they expect growth where there is none is strange. This business are at the limit and have no way to grow faster than economic situation of many people around the world gets better.
Sad part is fir them it is better to destroy service trying to increase growth in meaningless ways, than to just find a way to keep the business that is working.
Idea of infinite growth is ruining us.
I don’t see it as OP equated Ukraine to Palestine, just theoretizes that there is common other side in those conflicts and that reasons for those wars are not what we think they are.

Whem car mechanic tells me I have problem on my car I can find yt on how to detect it and how to solve it. I don’t get knowledge to do it, but I can definitely appreciate their work more and not think they are just ripping me off.

I see it just as extension to “cancel culture” in IRL society. Nothing complicated just same stuff pushed from media comes to the web. Much helped by algorithms that are supporting it.
It is not only reddit, whole public internet is just an echo chamber, with no critical opinion allowed.
Every topic in current society (at least Europe+North America, I don’t know what’s happening in the rest of the world) is either black or white and no in between. Very scary place we are in currently. And people put you in some category just based on one sentence, one though, one idea.
I don’t see anything special here or on reddit that is not happening in other parts of our society.
Maybe fediverse is so clean you can see it happening live, just look at any defederation request and what they think of different opinions. Different opinion is forbidden. I never thought we will ger to this point, I believed internet will give us freedom of speech and freedom to discuss. But so many topics have become dangerous.
I understand she wants freedom in a house she lives in.
But if you go to visit your parents it is not of her concern. She can not get both.
She might be worried about some fantasy she has, but it might not be too bad in the end.
I am in this situation. My parther is close (physically and emotionally) to her family and I wouldn’t want them visiting. But I am happy for her (without me) to go.
Problem arises when she wants me to go too and that’s where fight starts. Either eight away or after visit, wether I go or not.

Sadly, this is expected, the unknown person didn’t break any law. I guess we need to update laws to cover this kind of threats.
Consult a lawyer, document everything.
Everyone involved should try to write down or record everything they can remember about suspected person and contact with them.
My country is similar, but there is a difference if they cross a line at some point if you reported them before or not. Punishment is much harder and faster if there are reports before incident.

It is really great, just find one which after taste does not bother you (most have some sweet aftertaste) and drink it cold. It is great drink.
It really depends on your needs. 3D printing community is very satisfied with FreeCAD, and GIMP is great for my needs when I need to find a way to increase visibility of some features in drone images and than make python script to repet it hundreds of times. No way I could do it in in PS. Making it run under wine already takes too much time.
And it is not only about money for license but about freedom.

They are not PR people, don’t expected that of just normal people having fun. No one is promising “chrome killer coming in six months”.
Thig is that for SerenityOS they want to make everything from scratch, ssh, ssl, libraries, utils, text editor… even the browser. They could have just porr Firefox, but that was not the point. To use it you had to complile whole OS.
But since browser got some attention and sone complex sites (like guthub and twitter) started working in it, to make project more viable they are dropping this constraint for browser. I guess they migt use some gui library, ssl lib, codecs… stuff like that. But, I expect, they will not use others code for rendering engine and js, but continue with implementation from documentation.
While some in this thread say they are racist, homophobic and stuff. Maybe some are maybe just not polished for public speak, do we really think everyone in google is totally clean?

You know that old idiom “similar to your mother”, yeah but not physically or obviously. For me it was that my mother, contrary to what she is saying, hated her father. That also means she hates all man, including her son (me). Keep in mind she is not aware of any of this hate. So until I discovered that, I was attracted to women that hated their father in the same way my mother did. They also hated, and were attracted to, all man. You can imagine how difficult those relationships are.
Go get her, you will have your hearth broken. And it is worth it. But also find some psychotherapist to help you with solving this issue so that next one will be the one that is kind to you.

Therapy helped me. Looking back first important step was noticing that I am angry. It is strange how hidden and unrecognizable anger can be.
Second part is discovering why I was angry. As soon as we discover why are we angry, we stop being angry. When ai asked my shrink how does that work, he said “I don’t know, but it works”. And it really does.
Now when someone says “I am angery and I know why I am angre” I am sure they have no idea.
And I haven’t found other way to resolve that, than psychoanalysis as therapy.
I don’t know about that kind of medicine, but resolve your repressed anger and depression will disappear.
