I haven’t heard a truly loud motorcycle in a very long time, but just today some old guy drives this huge hog up the street and you can hear it coming from a mile away.

Zettlr? Most of my notes are pretty simple, I use MarkText often and it has a decent search. I don’t think either of those uses electron.
This just changed my whole worldview.
Not a huge one, but it is only free for personal and non-profit use. “If your notes contain content directly related to work projects or processes for a greater-than-one-person company, then you require a commercial license.”
Since it is on flathub and they don’t really nag you, I am sure there are people who aren’t really aware.
Available but not FOSS. Gotta watch the license if you use it for any work.
IRC is so simple you can connect with a telnet client.
Matrix does have bridges to other services, including IRC, but I haven’t really gotten into matrix either. IRC has always been good enough.
Sorry, I mistook “how big” as literally the file size.
On console the Premium edition includes it, and is 17GB larger.
You could upgrade to OS X on the colorful ones, I installed 10.0 on release day and got an OS X tee shirt and wore it to school because what was I thinking. It was fun times. I remember having to open Emacs to make some system change to better support IRC in Ircle and I had no idea what I was doing but it was Unixy!

These guns are registered, Mr Smith and Mr Wesson.
This was a meme for some time, like he’s talking to a little girl and suddenly screaming at her. Didn’t know the labels changed but that the dialog a huge joke.
Deletions do propagate, but an instance doesn’t have to respect that.
That’s just modern media, they often write about the internet exploding about something and then it’s just a few tweets from random people.
I used fastmail with a custom domain but random stuff from specific senders would disappear into the ether and never go through to my mailbox. Everything else worked fine though, but it was enough to switch me back to gmail for a while at least. LDAP is a requirement for me and most of the other popular providers now don’t have it.
I hear Elon’s got a submarine that might work.
Think there are, read through the blocked list on a popular instance.
This is an interesting one, because I think it applies pretty well to many well paid, salaried corporate jobs, but not at all to lower paying job or positions where people don’t have many other options available. Not to say they need a ping pong table, but that many aren’t leaving because of pay but rather bad managers or better perks/benefits elsewhere.
Yes, they added a standard written by Cloudflare that is currently used to avoid captchas.
It did. I checked their opensource repo and it looks like they removed it in 10.15. The shell was also tcsh at the time and the terminal, I think, defaulted to black on white. Everything about it was unfamiliar to a Mac user, it felt like an old library Dynix system.
