For that, the PC has to be on. I’m using that as well, but that’s not really what i want it to do in this case. For example…i get a an invoice in the mail, i open the mail and the Epson is in the hallway downstairs, right next to the main door. I put an ASN/Barcode on the original document concerning the user paperpless should file that document under, scan the document and put it in the loose filing bin…etc. Basically, i do not want to have to use the PC.
A couple of hundred with MIRV are enough to absolutely and completely wreak havoc, not even mentioning nuclear winter and all that follows… Also, don’t forget the subs
Nah, we’re not numb. But the fact of the matter is, we can’t change anything and letting him win is not going to work, because what’s the alternative? Being subjugated or attacked at a later state?
Putin should not forget however, that “we”, the EU, also have Nukes and will retaliate, if push comes to shove. Those threats are meaningless either way.
I’m going to get down voted, but it’s a bit more complicated than that. Granted, in hindsight the “economic binding” strategy was clearly wrong and a bad call, but at the time “we” believed Putin that he will honor agreements and be a trustworthy partner. And that he will honor Russian economy over territorial things, that do not matter at all for the standing of russia - hell, even back then the consensus was that Russia will utterly fail if they try something stupid, because they “needed” the gas money more, than we needed their gas. And while that downfall will take a few more years, it is inevitable. I admit though, I could not have been more wrong about some things…
It wouldn’t. The U.S. is a big part of NATO, but NATO will live on without the U.S. the European Union has very much the same clauses - even the U.K. would still be part of that.
They probably are afterwards. Most sat pics trained on that have some kind of image recognition stuff running in the background and they flag that. Apparently that’s how that Satan failure was also firstly detected
Edit: I also wouldn’t be so sure about the ICBMs being in the same state as everything else.
I listened to Habecks musings quite often and I pray he’s not going to be Chancellor.
No, I’m not, but the security of Europe is more important than social issues. Apart from that…the Greens have betrayed themselves. https://netzpolitik.org/2024/foto-nachruf-auf-gruene-und-fdp-sie-waren-buergerrechtsparteien/
Oh, believe me…we have that manufacturing capabilities. I live near where parts of Taurus are made… It’s just that there’s no “demand” and the bundeswehr doesn’t have enough money to just order them to stockpile.
That’s actually my reasoning voting for him…Kleineres Übel…and let’s be honest, Scholz never was Chancellor material, Habeck still needs more time and I don’t think he’s got enough support from the greens “realoflügel” to have his back and on top of that, the greens do not have enough support to “make” Chancellor. I hate Merz’ s guts, but unless the SPD finds a different candidate (Pistorius, anyone…? I’d vote in a heartbeat for him and I despise the SPD)…Merz is it, even with the risk of an Afd involvement. So if he sells his mother for Taurus in Ukraine and punish Putins utter madness once and for all…so be it.

Basically trickery with alleged lossless, but it is not even close to lossless and you need very special players that can unfold MQA. Tidal got a lot of criticism for it and eventually switched away to FLAC…but the way they handled it was pretty bad and it still brushes me the wrong way.
I rather pay for the enshitification of Qobuz, than pay those crooks at Tidal any money. That MQA shit is still very deep and practically enshrined in my soul…
It can be learned, but you have to be willing for it and it needs a special trait as base requirement, neither Putin nor other Dictators have: Humility and Honesty.
Yes, I did. But I couldn’t get my Homeassistant to work routing through it, so I switched back to Proxy Manager…
Basically, all of those https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/faq/article/nas-recovery-guide-for-x86-based-nas There are some older models that can only boot from the DOM, however most newer ones (especially the AMD Ryzen ones, which i personally would highly recommend) have no issue. The early TS-X77 models do not boot from NVME, but that can be overcome with some creativity :)
You could do all that, yes - but that’s not really “replacing” a Synology IMHO. The point is that you don’t really have to think about putting it all together correctly - put the drives in, install your OS of choice and that’s it.
I’ve had a look and sadly, they are not available in Europe (at least for any reasonable price).
Does this have a backplane?
Didn’t know that exists, that’s pretty neat! However, not really what i’m looking for in this case, because i don’t want to use a device other than the printer itself. With scan to folder, you just set the MFP to scan something to an FTP, SMB or whatever folder. The ET-4850 unfortunately doesn’t support that, so i’m looking for an alternative…i could just run a Windows VM on my Proxmox and let that do the “Scan-To” stuff, but that’s pretty resource intensive… But the more i look in to it, it seems there is no solution (except a Windows VM) for this, as SANE only “speaks to the MFP” and the MFP can’t talk to SANE via WSD…
