I miss this from cloud hosting. It’s helpful to be able to save, clone, or do whatever with the current machine state and easily just flash back to where you were if you mess something up. Might be too much to set up for my current homelab though. My server does have btrfs snapshots of everything directly in grub which has let me roll back a few big screwups here and there.

Didn’t recognize the brand (might have been Dentsing or something like that) but it outperformed the stock battery in it’s flattening state and maybe even when it was new! I watched it pretty closely for a while though and I’d NEVER buy a battery off temu.

The amount depends on how badly they need the help. If I they try to steer me to recurring donations I don’t donate at all (having the option as an opt-in is okay).

How do you keep it cold enough to run in a place like Arizona, Spain, or Mexico? It also reminded me of my Windows Mobile days before I had a smartphone when someone on a Windows Mobile forum took a Dell Axim x51v and built a dock for it that exposed all the ports so he could use it with an external display as an infotainment/nav system. He called it the Aximizer. An old android phone with a micro-hdmi port might be the modern equivilant.

Are there any topics I should avoid or considerations I should take into account when training them?24·2 months agoI work with enough foreigners that I almost HAVE to do this since I rarely see them face to face and have no real indicators aside from their name. If your name is 20 characters long and 18 of them are consonants, I’m gonna use “they” at work, just to avoid any undue offense. So far, if someone had a problem with me it was because of my employer, not my own words or behavior.

I like to see monthly and weekly ticket options that even a visitor could sign up for. Every city could expand their transit reach by an extra few miles with a good bike share. That could translate to a huge area increase for transit coverage. I’d hate to see the option to bring your own bike be removed from busses and trains though. Bike share bikes can be like Russian Roulette.

But Craigslist/FB Marketplace/pawnshop bikes are looking like a good value. Definitely not opposed to big box bikes though as I have destroyed many over the years.

I’ve also seen Carmel mentioned in regards to their roundabouts. I’m doing some research on how I can make that happen best without bringing a bike on a plane. I don’t want to take Carmel bikes out of their area, so I may use them to explore the Monan further north and figure something else out for going towards Indy.

I’d like to think as a group, we are a healthier addiction than Reddit. :)

It worked, but I don’t know anything else about it: https://tidal.com/transfer-music

I tried using one, but didn’t like the clutter of the pad on my desk. I’m a special kind of neat freak in my immediate work space though.

Some of those people would pogo stick 2 miles to the nearest store rather than sit next to you while you back a car out of the garage. I think a lot of people who have experienced the downside of cars have sympathy for the idea that it doesn’t have to be like this. We could have… options!

Most of them are just an unarmed visual deterrent wearing a uniform and a big walkie talkie (you called it!). Around here armed security is often off-duty police officers making a little extra money off the clock.

I encountered some confusion between enclosures, DAS, USB array and some of the other terms I was seeing.
Has friend 2 set his name servers to something custom, or is he using your network’s default? My partner uses an iPhone and it has some sort of built in DNS so she doesn’t benefit from me installing DNS based adblock on the network. You could see if a similar thing is at play.

It’s like stepping onto a piece of cardboard, so zero points for luxury. It does catch and re-evaporate the water well, so full marks there. Humidity is naturally low here, so no I have little to no worries about mold.

There are plugins to do a lot of what you’re asking for. Downside is that it’s not open source, though your content is all stored in plaintext so you won’t lose it due to lock-in. It also might be more than your asking for and a simpler, more tailored, solution may be out there. Paired with a self hosted Nextcloud server, you may solve a bunch of your PIM needs at once.
Interesting username. Are you a fellow student of Internet Comment Etiquette?
I know at least some of my containers use Postgres. Glad to know I inadvertently might have made it easier on myself. I’ll have to look into the users for the db and db containers. I’m a bit lost on that. I know my db has a username and pass I set in the docker compose file and that the process is running with a particular GID UID or whatever. Is that what your talking about?
