I bought this Protectli Vault FW2B , and installed OPNSense strictly for firewall since I don’t control the router in my town home.
I used this guide to set up a transparent bridge so I can filter out traffic before it gets to the subnet my property manager assigned to me.
Setting it up was a great learning experience. One thing that was odd for me though, was that I had to change the label of the interfaces in the ui to match the label on the hardware.

I’ve been eagerly waiting for this. With the announcement of official modding tools for Baldurs Gate 3, I’ll be happy jumping back in since switching to Linux on my gaming pc.

That’s the big thing. After my postive experience with the Steam Deck, I switched my gaming PC to Linux. There were settings I had to tinker with to get my games running as optimally as they would on the deck, that I assume are set by default on the SteamOS.
I keep up on my hvac air filters to help with dust, and have a no shoes in the house rule.

I’ve set my secondary DNS to cloudflare, and my pihole still blocked ads for me. I assumed the secondary DNS server is used only if the primary can’t be pinged. But i haven’t actually looked into it.
They aren’t looking to shoot at soldiers with these things, they are for taking out vehicles and equipment.
What’s nice is that when you work from home, you have your whole kitchen at your disposal to make your lunch. As opposed to needing to plan ahead while wasting part of your day on a commute.
When I travel by plane, I download the respective airline Mobile app to get the digital boarding pass.
It’ll remind me to check in the day before. I can only assume what would happen if I don’t (my would seat given to a standby passenger or something).
