I bought a course from udemy to learn it, helps cause you can follow along in an organized order. I actually haven’t touched it much since but it was fun to go through. Just make sure to buy their courses on sale if you do, otherwise they can get pretty pricey.

I’m really curious on those, I don’t do that sort of thing these days so sort of wondering how impactful it could be. Outside of the random person who thinks they should change them but that’s got to be pretty minimal and IT should lock it down anyways.

It wasn’t till I read you original comment that I remembered how awful I felt at one point watching it, I get it and understand not wanting to subject yourself to that sort of feeling willingly. Thankfully it passed and I was able to watch, but I won’t say I enjoyed it, just that in an art sense it has merit.

I found it difficult to watch when i did due to the situation, maybe not right in covid but not out of it either. As depressing as it made me feel at points (girlfriends choice of movie so had to sit through it but we alternate so only fair) I found it amusing that while plainly satire the actual dialogue and actions were pretty much what at least one democratically elected administration showed during a huge crisis. If it aired 10 years previous it’d probably be in the bin of crappy spoof movies for being so ridiculous and maybe get a cult folowing, yet it was practically a documentary with the situation changed.

I can understand not feeling comfortable due to the triggering in it though, it wasn’t exactly a fun watch even if it was a comedy.

Definitely the best in my option, in my movie rotation to watch again soon for the whatever time it is for that one.

You realize it only mentions k-12 in the article and bill right? So while they are schools I can’t find mention of them in this act. Can you please show where it says Universites are included? It does not in the article or the link below.

What part of that is bad? Nothing says people can’t protest but no one should interfere with kid’s education. Doesn’t say people can’t protest, but they can’t disrupt people who go in there is all which seems fair.

I started that like 10 years ago, unfortunately I have a funky shaped head so it doesn’t look as good as it may on others but I do enjoy the maintenance on it. I can definitely tell these days it won’t grow back like it used to (much thinner on the top, edging back on the top sides). However being able to use a hair trimmer once a week myself is cheap, and less things to do while getting ready in the morning.

I can understand since society seems to put value on hair but not worrying about it (some confidence) goes a long way. I barely think about it nowadays.

Not if the place doesn’t do daylight savings time, and not all places in a timezone will do that (least in North America) so you need extra code if they do or do not. It becomes a pain after awhile when you do it in multiple projects. Technically one extra setting but it’s still a pain to make sure it’s handle properly in all cases, especially when the previous programmer decided to handle it for each case individually, but that’s a different issue.

Also when you deal with the times, say in .Net you gotta make sure it’s the proper kind of date otherwise it decides it’s a local system date and will change it to system local when run. Sure it’s all handled but there are many easy mistakes to make when working with time.

I probably didn’t even get to the real reason, I sort of picked this up on my own.

I had to check Google maps to make sure but the next closest city appears to be about 300kms south (Athabasca, unless Lac La Biche is closer), even with public transit they aren’t getting anywhere else. There’s nothing in so much of Northern Canada you’re screwed for mobility without a vehicle.

Would it be that complicated if people knew the lunar cycle, especially since the lunar cycle is fairly static? Not everyone I’m sure but those that needed a better time would probably understand and pass that knowledge along for the night folk. Of course depends when in technology we’re talking but I’d assume we humans understood those cycles pretty early for our survival, not in depth but they got the idea the lunar cycle didn’t change like the seasons did and adjust as needed. I haven’t read up on it so I’ll be glad to hear more info.

Yeah I’ve had it in my library for awhile, played a handful of hours and ended up being off today so thought why not? Can’t get to online mode, I always figured I’d do online mode when it was released. A shame but it happens. Granted I tried right after I could download it so probably not the best time but I was also curious if something like this would come up. I’m sure it’ll get sorted out anyways.
