  • Vista was FULL of security issues though. I did PC support in that era and I kept going to one house in particular because they would pick up some crazy virus / Spyware from thier kid visiting sketchy porn sites. Didn’t matter what I did or how I locked it down, or what AV I installed he would manage to get it reinfected. After the 8th time or so I just made them buy a XP license and told them they need to have a hard talk with thier kid about all the sites he was visiting. Once I had XP installed and appropriate AV, it stopped being an issue.

Edit: Whoops, nevermind it was Windows ME. Carry on with your Vista love (though I’m still not sure why you loved it)

  • Thier last game (released over three years ago) is still in Early Access and they already got thier pay day. This is why I hate modern gaming. Gamers can’t help but pre-maturely ejaculate over some new thing, so devs are able to keep shoveling eternal Early Access games. I vote with my wallet and don’t buy EA games, but my game group still does. I miss out on a lot of gaming sessions because of it.

Personally I think gaming companies should not be allowed to charge for Early Access and basically just go back to free betas for testing. Or if they do have an Early Access, they should be forced to have a published release date or automatic refund if they miss. That will prevent devs from releasing half baked content and coasting on it for years.

They can still provide content and fixes via standard updates.

  • Nothing overly crazy but I remeber watching the Matrix in the theater for the first time and being sooo pumped up that my buddy and I went whopping and hollaring through the mostly abandoned mall food court (got out super late). Mall security ended up chasing us down in the parking lot because they thought we had stolen something or were vandals. We had to explain we were just high from a great movie lol.
