Oh hell yeah. I wouldn’t trust an SDCard to anything important except maybe a Pi where the actual OS is fairly unimportant and the data is stored elsewhere.
I had been wondering about the G series Ryzen. Is this running in a standard tower or something rackable?
I used NextCloud in a Docker container but found that unless I was really on top of checking versions for updates, it was very easy to get behind and then unless one way VERY careful about going up in the correct increments, it was quite easy to end up with a version mismatch between the files and DB structure.
As much as I hate SNAP (mainly due to them being overused on Ubuntu desktop and bloaty blobs full of weird permission issues) I’ve got to say that moving to a SNAP version of NextCloud on my server has made my life so much easier. A scheduled job runs a “snap refresh” regularly and it’s been fairly stable for over a year now, except for one small incident where it broke the reference to the internal office suite install and for some reason stated trying to go with a localhost version

I actually just use the cold even in my own bathroom. A bit of frosty water cools the O-Ring after a meal with a biiiiit too much hot sauce, or when that slight lactose-intolerance flares up.

The last instructions I had involved downloading an older version of the Kindle desktop app to grab the books, and I couldn’t find that one except on style rather sketchy looking sites that I didn’t trust running executables from.

This happens in other countries as well. I’ve been told to speak the local (non-English) language when visiting friends overseas when having a private conversation.

Aside from the lift, there may be use cases for the truck where it requires moving multiple people and smaller heavy loads (or pulling a trailer). However, the sad reality is that the heaviest load it’ll likely be moving on a regular basis is the fat ass of the solo passenger in their way to/from fast food and groceries

Yeah, no. Has Russia taken a lot of fatalities? Yeah. But they’re also a huge country and a lot of what they’ve “lost” has to some extent areas where they’d consider the population expendable.
The thing is, while NATO etc bicker about supplying Ukraine - while fighting against internal sabotage by Russia’s unspoken allies - they’ve been actively working on a functional war-economy and production, as well as arrangements with regimes such as Iran etc.
The West has this far been in the “send some older hardware but only for defence” mode, which is just recently, slowly turning around. Committing actual troops to war is not so much, and the militaries of many members have been grossly neglected for decades. Russia continues to push the line of “you don’t want nuclear war, do you?” while also actively preparing for a larger scale conflict and pushing boundaries They, and China, Iran etc have also been increasingly active in technological/cyber attacks. Eventually, I fully expect them to go for broke. This probably won’t actually start at another invasion but rather as increasing/coordinated infrastructure attacks on infrastructure and technology.

I’ve been fairly happy with Alfred locks using ZigBee. There’s still a Bluetooth+App component to those as well for adding choices but you don’t need it to use ZigBee for locking/unlocking or viewing status.
Don’t use the wifi bridge though. I briefly tried that and it connects to some address hosted in AliCloud of all frigging places
For companies that have a legacy product depending on the old OS, but unpatched vulnerabilities because said OS is EoL, maybe this may one day be an appealing option.
Yeah the Docker version hated me, mainly due to it sometimes getting a bit behind on updates and then having schema mismatches if I ran an update in that missed the previous one. No issues with the Snap thus far
I have a little 3D printed housing which I keep my power supply and controller in. Thus far it’s survived 3+ years outdoors with winters hitting below -30°c and summers above 30°c.
Biggest issue I’ve had so far has been the getting the strips to stay in place where they’re tacked under the overhang
You can set the automation to fire after a reasonable delay, so that if something is firing continuously you aren’t getting constant/overlapping messages.
Not with any of the ones I’ve bought recently (also from AExpress)
Hmmm, piloting a robot body against other robot bodies in war actually sounds kinda cool. Live-fire paintball without the risk of actual injury
