Haha another “great” memory wrapped up in that video.

I see. I bought my first laptop in 2013 (used), and by then I was pretty ensconced in Linux. That machine didn’t have those ports.
Some of what you said about appearances of women vs men have to do with toxic culture. 50 yo man with gray? Hot dad bod. 50 yo woman with gray? Past her prime. It’s complete crap and enforces unhealthy habits. Not that you believe these things, but “society” does.
Could they even be hot swapped? I don’t remember trying. I remember my dad getting a CD-RW drive with a USB-A connector, I had to reboot to get the computer to recognize it, but that was Windows 95 or 98.
Because of all the pins involved with USB, I think these would end up bring more like the mouse plugs of yore. USB C seem pretty awesome to me for this scenario.
As for a “wall” plug, given the voltage there, maybe there are technical challenges with safety? This is an interesting thought to me, i haven’t really thought much about wall plugs haha. There is so much room for improvement in my country (USA).
For most of us, 2 comes before 1 unless you mean my own leg. But seriously, I like the list 🙂
People from all across the age spectrum (including this group) use the term “college kids” to refer to folks that are generally 18-22. So if 22 is a kid, you are barely an adult. I’m not sure what all is making you feel old, but maybe having good people on your life can help. I have a spread of ages and it helps with perspective. I am middle age 🫣
Piefed? It integrates with a variety of federated things but I haven’t gotten in too deep. I have a similar path as you.
Since you’ve been obsessed with them lately, have you seen Who Is Cletis Tout? Great film that features some carrier pigeon action and an unconventional cast.
Not for new books, but vellichor is a relatively new word to describe the scent of old books.
Yes! After looking at some photos I am quite sure of it. OP would be disappointed 😬
I understand Norway/Sweden/Finland has some type of candy that is exceptionally different. In my head, it is sour, but I can’t find it in a quick search and the name isn’t something I could easily remember…
Edit: after thinking a bit, I am now pretty sure what I am thinking of is actually a really strong licorice, not a sour candy. Sorry for probably being misleading.
I guess this also brings up eye dominance.
Fair point. My point was some of these places may cater to folks incapable of maintenance, although that certainly isn’t limited to age. I would also think we wouldn’t want to segregate people based on ability or age, but here we are 🤷
Not sure if relevant, but one winter when I was out of work I picked up an on-call job shoveling snow in these communities.
I don’t have solid answer for you; I have no experience with leggings. I have had to put effort into finding pants that fit me appropriately, and that made a big difference in comfort and confidence. Rise was a big part of the equation for that item of clothing, but it related to fit in the groin. Ultimately, the correct rise led to better fit down leg. YMMV. Good luck!
Maybe they are thinking about cuy?
Pick yourself up by your sockstraps?
If you are in a position to see a neurologist, that could be a great way to get a better answer. I have seen a neurologist regularly for almost 30 years for something else, but also have minor tremors/twitches that predated why I see the neurologist. My twitches are like an eyebrow vibing, or a small portion of thigh muscle, etc. Anyway, neither of the neurologists I saw for over ten years felt I should be concerned, but I also didn’t pursue it. I had other concerns. A main/family doctor may be able to help, also. Not sure.
Anyway, doctors should listen, and then they may have questions about things like family history. That is really where the quality of life can matter. It isn’t about now, but later. If you can afford the doctor visit.
