Saw something like that along with less length for signals to pass along neural pathways being a factor.
Watched some documentary ages ago and pigeons’ reaction times are so fast it’s almost like we move in slow motion to them. 250ms is the average for humans without training and pigeons trained to peck when a certain stimuli was presented showed theirs is roughly 80ms. Smaller birds are even faster. Pretty neat.
When I got it I wasn’t sure why exactly. I have fast PCs, and my Switch is under a mountain of dust too. Now It’s one of my favorite machines. So versatile. My wife hates sitting at her desk for gaming so it has reignited her passion for it. And it gets me out of my office so we can hang out more when we’re winding down after a day.
it got me and my elderly dog in better shape. We were both lazy fatties before. Now we’re less lazy and somewhat healthier fatties.
Used them since the company started but stopped this year due to the cost going up. Never had an issue.
I’ve seen videos of them shattering when a coffee mug or spark plug hits them. Sometimes it takes a couple tries.

NeXT. I still use WindowMaker partially out of nostalgia for NeXTSTEP. BeOS was also mind blowing. And can’t forget WebOS for phones.
Hissing definitely reminded me of when I let the magic smoke out of some charging ICs when working on other electronics. It can look fine but trying to fix them if they have a port is a big pain.
Huh. I thought just opening it voided that for some reason. I was misinformed.
Doesn’t replacing the ssd void the warranty?
And a warranty.
The read-only bit and updates causing packages to revert changes is kind of a big deal. I’ve rarely seen it mentioned or it is constantly glossed over.
Friend’s ROG fried its SD card reader. They have some serious heat dissipation issues. The other Windows-running units he’s tried have had myriad flaws: defective keyboards, poor sound, buggy performance, etc. They seem rushed. Most have sent replacement parts at least without a hassle…
I used to think this until I helped out on a robotics site. Some people are absolutely hopeless at soldering even after tons of practice. It is what it is.
My friend has a Windows partition for it. Set it up day one. Works fine. Would be nice to have it native. I’m not running Windows just to play it myself.
Because the people that flock to these platforms first are usually technically adept nerds and free thinkers.
